Yep. Definitely no sugar coating there.
The only positive to be found may well be that the players know it too at last and that meeting the captains called would have gone right to that horrible stat amongst other things I wouldnt mind betting.
Not to mention they had 13 of the top 14 possession winners on the ground, ouch, Newman with 29 was our lone hand.

Rowe wouldn't have played a game all season (including on the weekend) and would be one year slower. McCreadie should never have been selected as we were way too tall and had a lack of game time in the lead up.

Grigg is retiring because he can't get on the Park. Can't see how another injured player would help us.
I Guarantee you he would played in the ruck or at CHF because he gives a contest. He gave it everything when he played on the ball and unlike the two witches hats we have as backup ruckmen.

Not sure if this has been highlighted, heard some of it on the Carlton Show podcast.

Our top 3 possession winners on the day weren't on the list last year...
2 were 18 year olds fresh out of the draft and one was a senior half back flanker.

That is ******* pathetic from everyone else. Admittedly, our defenders were always going to see more of the ball, but it is still pathetic.
Just to further emphasise how pathetic this performance was:

We had only 1 player with 20+ possessions. There has only been one other game in AFL history where that happened and it was when geelong smashed melbourne by 186 points in 2011.

I am in total agreeance that Goddard deserves a game. Most would have had him in before Macreadie last week. The fact of the matter is that despite
his positives, Weitering is slow. To have another key defender not overly blessed with pace is a monumental risk. I am pretty sure that is why the last
selection transpired. This week will be interesting. Goddard would have incredible motivation to perform against the club which prematurely dumped
him. Do we need another tall? Can he and Weiters co exist? Both are intelligent players who get to the right spots, just might work.

Is he any slower than Casboult? Certainly a superior defender.

kicking the odd goal isn't enough mate

it's a strong contribution across the board

you do realise we have won 3 from 40 and there are underlying reasons for this

And you can rant apologies as much as you like for the results but this is the no sugar coating thread!

you're sugar coating something really pathetic!

McGovern doesn't contribute.. he gets his goals here and there but that's why we let little Matt Wright go!
Speaking of not contributing.......
