With the pitch as it is he is playing safety first, how possibly could ball tracker determine where the ball is going. Any experts out there on how ball tracking works on all of the different pitches?
Once it bounces, if there's enough frames (which there's heaps more than the standard broadcast) they can do a fairly accurate calculation of the trajectory, then they just continue it etc. The pitch doesn't affect it from that point.

Suck s**t to everyone on here that hates Lyon ha ha, he keeps coming back.

And that catch by Usi, he's really worked on his fielding, credit to him.
People wanted him dropped after the 1st Test… he now has 16 wickets for the series and has 50 wickets from 10 matches in India to be 3rd of all time for overseas bowlers. Won’t stop idiots going off at him again at some point when he has a bad spell.

well once bounces and rises off the pitch, the pitch is no longer going to have an effect on the ball's trajectory, is it? The ball is in the air. You just extrapolate on the path measured from pitch to pad, allowing for wind resistance and gravity.

Fairly accurate, is that better than the umpire watching it live?

Surely we won't shit the bed in the 2nd innings 3 times in a row? reckon we've got this one, as long as the lead doesn't blow out beyond 130-150.
