Whats the story with this deal !!

Looks like port have been offering 28 but westcoast are the ones knocking it back, seeing as how you have traded 33 for renouf 28 is the only option.

West coast would be mad not to accept 28 ?

good luck next year guys

Perhaps Port were ..... but Rhode early on had publicly said 28 wasnt on table so it would be a backflip of sorts (depending on other elements of the trade)

Or perhaps Port were offering 33 all along, but this 3 way deal is going to get it done without 28 or 33. Ie the GWS compo plus hill is enough (this is highly unlikely though)

or perhaps all along Port were willing to part with 28 and 33, but thought the ruck would cost 28.

I dont think that would be the case, the rucks that are/were available i cant see any of them would have a pick 28 value.

Maric 37
Renouf 33
seaby would of been 33-55
Blake free to good home

Maybe we're waiting on the Brogan/Chad deal with GWS so we can use whatever we get from them as part of a deal for Ebert.

Read elsewhere that the holdup is WC doing a fitness test on Josh Hill. all the other pieces are done.

although I also read paperwork had been lodged (which wouldnt be the case if Hill was doing a test)

All I know is that if we come out of this trade week with a first round pick that will inevitably be a flanker, a midfielder that can't kick and a ruckman that can't kick, we are ****ed.

That's what I'm thinking. Do you guys have any idea what you will get for those two?

A 6 inch peri peri chicken sub, toasted, with old english cheese, capsicum, onion, lettuce, ranch dressing and 2 m&m cookies.

Who knows really. I read from Quayle yesterday that they will keep the remaining 2 pre listed players (Spurr wasnt either of them) so maybe a pick...but im not sure what picks they even have left outside the top 20.

Will be done says Rohde.

A deal has been decided with our without a third party (presumably Hill). Just waiting on the third party to finalise it maybe today but maybe not.

Sounds like there isn't much else going on once these are done.

That would suggest that if Hill doesn't work out we lose 28, if Hill does work out, we keep 28 and GWS picks come into play I guess.

They will probably trade us pick 5 for 6, Brogan and Chad, knowing that there's no chance we'll use it on Longer now.

From what I can tell GWS have on traded 6 previously listed players.

Marty Clarke, Jamie Elliot, Luke Brown, Steven Morris, Terry Milera, Ahmed Saad.

That means they have 4 available slots left doesnt it ? Rules gives them access to 10.
