Re: Fev trade

logic??
come on!
its clear in plain black and white (excuse the pun)
the only players you get are the likes of Corrie and Bryan who cant even get a game!

Wood is semi ok, but all those names i listed yous went for, and failed!!!

Seems you are also the Collywobbles come trade week too

Mate, we don't have crooks running the joint and cooking the books, so can't always offer a fistful of dollars. Ahh, the price of dignity.

Re: Blues to trade Fevola

yeah maybe but....davis is aa this yr and although you say he goes walk about mclean doesnt exactly light the stadium up like davis personally would like to see a later pick in there some where........having said that if we did trade and got wc pick which is i think 6 or 7 correct me if im wrong then id much rather see us keep that pick and trade 14 and a player to blues would prob help us get butcher IF the rumors are true IF.... maybe then 14 a dawes/cox/toovey and a later pick to the blues.
theyd get their first rnd pick three back from the mclean, theyd get their young defender and a later pick...

Re: Fev trade

If Fevola comes to Collingwood our small forwards... Davis Dick and co would thrive as he creates a panick situation in the forwardline for backmen and it would set them free.

I also think that Fevola has more than 2 years left at FF.

It is worth a try in my eyes for the right deal

The blues are weaking as time goes by

Re: Fev trade

Picture this:

2011 Grand Final......Carlton vs Collingwood.....

Judd has just won his second Brownlow.....Fev has won another Coleman after kicking 109 goals in the home and away season for the Pies.

400,000 at the MCG.

Blues by a point. :)

Re: Fev trade

The question is how serious are you about trading him?? Are you going to play hardball or take what's on offer.

I think our starting point would be Pick 14 + Dawes.

With an offer so stingy, I'd expect we'd also have to pay off most of the contract as well which is as good to Carlton as another draft pick. That would give Carlton the opportunity to really free up the salary cap, and perhaps make a play for Tarrant.

So Pick 14, Dawes + large contract payment.

That would be the starting point...let the negotiations begin.

That really remains to be seen - certainly it looks like the Blues have been very proactive so far, but will that same willingness remain when a genuine & decent offer is put before them?

How keen are the Pies in him. IMHO, if he plays like he did the last 2 years, he could get you a flag, however with Fev that'll have to be done in the next 2 -3 years.

You're right about the large contract problem, and it's probably worth a solid - good player if we're talking about a 200,000 - 300,000 difference.

Pick 14 & Dawes maybe, although I'd imagine the Blues would be trying to get a top 10 pick, they're fairly keen on getting a tall KPP replacement. So could a 3 way deal be done where Pies exchange Dawes & pick 14 to a lower club and the Blues get the pick?

In other words, is Dawes & pick 14 worth a pick 7, 8, or 9 in a weak draft?

And how may I ask will Carlton make the Grand Final without anything resembling a forward line?

Blues by a point... thirty seconds to go and Fevola takes the mark of the century over a very distraught looking Judd and goals.

Fev gives Judd the thumbs down straight after the siren.. all Collingwood players immediatly gaurd their temple :)

Go Pies

Picture this Miranda Kerr and Cameron Diaz in my hot tub with me while Beyonce feeds me grapes and Blue unicorns run around my back yard with circus monkeys for jockeys.
That is about as likely as your scenario.

Re: Fev trade

starting to look a bit like bay 13........
yeah of course you will have wiggins at chf and cam cloke at FF

Im starting to shake from fear anyway

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA WIGGINS AND C2 HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Re: Fev trade

i agree with what fev would bring to our side, if he comes all of a sudden he gets the number 1 def if cloke plays closer to goal he gets 2 or 3 depends the form of medhurst then you have dick and jackboythe other players is more than likely a midfielder i.e didak/thomas etc resting up there.

with the continuing developement of beams and sidebottom wellingham etc and then pendles swan fraser wood our midfield is on the right track. we will still have lockyer obree as well.

defense is wrapped up with maxwell presti shaw money bags and we would like to think reid and brown.

that leaves cox/dawes/toovey/macaffer up for trade to complement pick 14 depending on the player maybe a later pick as well.

unfortunately and i love watching him play i think we can gain a lot from trading davis, i think WC would be interested in him as he would work in well with the likes of cox tap work around the goals and kerr gettin the hard ball feeding it out to him. as he is a aa player this yr and in career best form his currency is also up, if not now then he will be a one club player. if we are in the hunt for butcher as a few people have said not sure myself then surely this would go a long way to landing another key forward to develope around cloke and fev.

Re: Fev trade

That's just an opinion in the Herald-Sun though so it is neither right nor wrong. I have no doubt that Collingwood are currently considering the possibility because he fits a need.I have no idea what Carlton would want. They may settle for a first round draft pick and a player such as Tyson Goldsack or Chris Dawes. Maybe Shannon Cox. Eddie McGuire is also one of Fevola's biggest supporters, and he is the president of Collingwood.

im starting to see it a bit that way myself but if we do do that then i think given the next 4 yrs will be weak we still need a first rnd pick and the best way to do that even improving our position would be to trade leon. not being critical so dont shoot me down but he fits the bill.
