Most overated? Are you serious? They are the best award a player can get. The club are the best people to judge players and how they played as they are the ones who assign the roles for players matchday.
He didnt recieve the best and fairest TWICE for being a good clubman, thats why there is a best clubman award :rolleyes:

Dont ever knock a person who gave everything they had for our club. Its a disgrace.

Good stance by the club playing hardball with the Blues.

We need to find out if the Blues are serious about trading him or they are just shopping him around to see what they can get.

Irrespective of his contract status, if the Blues want him out they have no right to demand or expect a favourable deal.

It is clearly evident Hine does not want to part with our first round pick and he doesn't want to lose any of our young talls.

The decision should be ultimately Hine's IMO.

If he thinks we are better off sticking to the draft- particularly early (first/2nd round) we should back him in.

a) Yes it was a mistake, we should have taken the punt on someone of his quality.

b) Where did you get you're facts that Presti and Licuria were even part of the discussions. Not saying you are wrong. But I always thought it was Didak or no one for Stevens. I think we made the right decision if that is true.

c) Two first rounders hardly amount to one first rounder. No way would we have been able to get Ottens for that. You are being really unrealistic there.

Presti was asked for, along with Didak, Licuria was never a consideration in the Stevens deal.
The Stevie J one kills me and i prefer not to think about it.

My understanding was Didak for Stevens.
When we knocked that one on the head, they asked for Presit and Licca in return for Stevens.

IMO
If we got StevieJ he would have retired already.
The only reason he has become what he has become, is because of the 6 week suspension that cats gave him. 6 weeks of NOT training with the seniors, and 6 weeks of playing VFL.
We would never have had the balls to do such a thing back then. Therefore; he would have stayed on the turps and relied on his talents alone to get him through, as opposed to realising his potential through hard work and relentless training.

Any one of Didak, Presti, Lonie or Richard Cole + 1st round pick (17?)

Didak & pick 17...meh.

A friend of a friend of a friend who says it is "straight from a Carlton player's mouth" is that the follwing trade has been confirmed:

FEVOLA to Collingwood for Nathan Brown, 2 draft picks and half Fevola's salary paid.

I feel a bit ill right now. If this is substantiated, I'll yawn skittles.

Won't happen, we rate Brown as our FB for the next 10 years...he will take over from Presti.

This may have come from a Carlton players mouth, but they would not be involved with the trade process and would know just as much as us.

I'm 100% certain that of all people, N Brown wouldn't be involved in a trade.
