Think you being a tad sensitive. We have been shit for a while, no one is disputing that, nor do we feel singled out
While other sides have made finals during that period, some have achieved zero, no GFs, many with a subpar finals win/loss ratio
Nah, you're right. Carlton haven't made finals since Essendon was thrown out of the finals due to running an unprecedented experimental doping program, using its players as guinea pigs. My bad, forgot about that...
Fair enough. I have consistently seen Carlton supporters making these kind of posts though, on bigfooty and elsewhere, so I was just giving a bit back.
That's a good point, the drug saga certainly did contribute to us not winning a final for so long and set us back a lot. As for Carlton's excuse for being so putrid, I don't know....but I am sure crazy Vossy will set things right.

I reckon if Carlton fail to make finals yet again this year you are going to start seeing countdowns like this on twitter etc - 'Days since Carlton MADE finals'. It will be a decade after all. Not off to the best start with the injuries but I do wish Cripps all the best - he's too good to go his whole career without playing a single final.

And how many days since they finished the season in the Top 8? So not counting 2013, where they finished ninth and played finals due to Essendon's penalties.

Despite your team hasnt won a final since 2013, Your team has a few blokes that won finals from their previous clubs.
Blake acres won a final at freo in 2022.
Nick newman and George Hewitt won finals at the swans. Suprised George Hewitt joined Carlton as he is from North Adelaide in the SANFL. I thought he would of joined the crows.
McGovern played and won finals at the crows.
Clubs annoucing premiership plans pubilcy is fraught with danger imo. if Carlton dosen't win one in the next 5 years they will cop it all it does is put external pressure on the club.
If i were a Carlton fan i rather keep that goal internally why the need to annouce it and put pressure on your selfs?
