Bucks just interviewed on Seven. "Collingwood is in Grundy's DNA and Grundy's DNA is in Collingwood"

I got the strong impression he isn't going anywhere and media reports re length is #fakenews.
Your strong impression will rapidly materialise into gospel Maggie5. Pie for life.

Lot of the Media talk are either 1 of 2 things:

  • They are Simply Making Stuff Up
  • His Manager using the Media to get a better deal for Brody
Media specialise in speculation. It sells news papers. If a story is too thin then make shit up is their motto.

I hate to say this but Brody not even close to John Nicholls - he was the best there may ever be.
John Nicholls was listed at 189cms and 105kgs. Grundy is 14cms taller and weighs about the same. I have never seen footage of Nicholls but surely Grundy’s size advantage, ridiculous gas tank and athletic ability would see him dominate a much smaller man?

I watched Nicholls, the fat prick was ok but Dempsey or Farmer was better, he'd regularly miss goals from 5 mtrs out and the 200+cm ruckmen of today would make him look like a fat little kid

Deserves it.

Works hard.

Great attitude.

Great player.

I’m thinking he’s the second best ruck I’ve seen at Collingwood now surpassing Peter Moore (as a ruck).

Only Len Thompson ahead.

But Brodie is powering to such heights.

Congrats on AA as THE ruck!
Grundy is a bigger man and a freak of an athlete. I marvel at how hard he runs in the background as he powers into a position to receive the ball. He leaves other ruckman in his wake, they simply cannot go with him. And his ground ball work is as good as any mid. If you are telling me Len Thompson was better, I need to dig up some footage of him. What a player he must have been.

With no disrespect to Nicholls, that’s what I was kind of thinking myself.

Big Len’s connection with his smalls was better...

You have to take things into perspective Bro. Thommo was a great ruck, fine mark, solid and reliable kick and an astonishing runner.

FOR HIS TIME.

You must remember that footy in those days was just starting to transform from the old kick to kick that it had been since the game was invented.

Ruckmen simply didn't compete for the ball with the rovers but loped off forward or back to become a target.

Thommo was the very first truly mobile ruckman and whilst nowhere near as fast as say a winger could cover the turf at a respectable pace with an athletic gait not resembling a panicked Clydesdale in the least - which all other ruckman did.

Congratulations to the big fella on making the AA team again he is going to be very hard to dislodge out for a long while as he just keeps improving his game I've no concerns about him signing no way are we going to let this bloke escape our clutches
