You of course realise that he had his contact extended last off season?

So much negative bias in your post it's not funny.

If you cite luck as a reason for victories then it can be cited for defeats. We were unlucky to cop the injuries we did during the Geelong game, we were unlucky not to convert better in the Hawthorn game.

Crocker, yeah unfortunately looks Almer Fudd probably what's holding him back. Shit I know him and Brad Scott don't see eye to eye on selection from time to time, but I'd bet a pound to a penny that the majority on here would agree with Crocker's selections.
Ratten gets short listed as well. He wasn't a bad coach before but would have improved at ruthless Hawthorn.

The sky ain't falling but the roof of the house is splintering and being held together with gaffa tape.

Next 4 weeks will show how resilient the club is.

Ha..

We aren't delivering on field. We are missing players but Eagles were rubbish today - should have put them away even a few down.

I just hope it doesn't get worse and the same issues still remain form when Scott took over.

Re the bolded, yeah,nah.

They weren't rubbish. Their forwards clunked everything under extreme pressure, especially early.Their defenders killed anything that was bombed long and they were very clean with ball and ran and created space well.

Putting up statements like that is just a poor excuse to embellish your view that Scott should go.

Brad can't go as he's contracted.

And they were ordinary today. We were worse that's all.

Nothing wrong with discussing the coach's performance or lack of as per player threads. The title as much in jest as serious.

I don't mind anyone discussing the coach's performances, but when you spout crap to justify your position then that is a different scenario. The Eagles played some good footy today and we weren't up to it certain areas.

The Eagles were ordinary. Their midfield is terrible. We outplayed them dominance wise but due our shit skills/structure/selections and fwds doing nothing (leave pass Wood first half and Brown second half) we lost.

If we don't improve we could easily lose a game or two against Pies/Port/Saints that are apparently locked in wins on here.

I dunno.

I just keep getting this mental picture of Brad looking into the camera lens, holding a salute whilst on an old ship with his ageing crew around him. He defiantly holds his salute while the ship sinks and the theme song gets muffled as the grammaphone goes under.

It is truly astonishing that when we have a loss like today's, out come the knives for Brad.

Yet today we had missing:

Higgins
McDonald
Waite
Wells
Wright
Jacobs
Dal Santo

7 automatic selections if fit.

Throughout the year for a variety of reasons we have been unable to select apart from on a few occasions

Garner
Turner
Hanson
Anderson

Only Anderson played today.

We lost Ray before half time
Wood in the last quarter when we were, albeit belatedly, pressing.

Yep, Brad should have managed all of that better.

Ssshhhhhhhhhhhh, it's better to blame the coach.

Sorry to harp on the the "boring" perspective side of things. However, last season, at this stage, we were 8-7. Amongst our losses were the following:-

Adelaide - 77 points.
Hawthorn - 60 points.
Fremantle - 73 points.
Gold Coast - 55 points.

Wells never came back into the team. We still made the prelim. Our worst loss this season has been 33 points to Adelaide in AAMI.

With our injuries, now isn't the time to call for Brad's sacking. But I wasn't a fan of Brad's coaching, and the match committee's selections, before his back injury last year, and I've seen many of the same Brad and match committee traits this year.

I'm not calling for Brad's sacking. But I won't be silenced about the fact that he will not drop senior players who are so obviously down on form. These players are not his friends. He is their coach.

How does Drew play ahead of Maj after his last 6 quiet matches?

Let's be frank. Clarke only played because NDS was ill. Otherwise we would not have seen him today. Why wasn't NDS simply dropped for Clarke?

Will LT be dropped after that shocker?

To sack the coach?

LOL.

Firstly the admin don't tend to make knee jerk reactive decisions.

Secondly the club ain't paying out 2 and a half years of a contract.

Thirdly and read this pretty carefully, we currently sit at a ladder position/round that is the best in Brad's tenure.

You choose this time to start a thread called bye bye Brad.

It is a departure from reality to think his role is in anyway under duress.

There are issues sure but from and administrative point of view he's down a third of a team and gonna be given much more than the remaining games in 2016 to improve.

A loss?

That's singular.

5 out of 6 and no great signs to suggest otherwise in future is why the knives are out (rightly)

Sorry but if you have a look at all of those other losses, only the loss against Sydney stands up as when injuries were not a factor.

In my opinion, had Swallow, Cunnington, Dal Santo and Nahas not been out of the game early or severely restricted against Geelong, we would have won. In my opinion had Swallow and Cunnington been available against Hawthorn we would have won.

We were right in the game against Adelaide up to three quarter time, however our short break of 6 days versus Adelaide's 12 day break, in my opinion hurt us in the last quarter. Ray was also out of the game before quarter time, which hurt our rotations.

As for your bit about "That's singular", perhaps you should have read the next two words, being "like today's". Changes the context just a tad doesn't it?

Let me say this also.

I think the act of blaming the coach whenever we have a loss, is an act of childishness. Smacks of throwing the toys out of the cot when we don't get our own way.

Some rational analysis might be a better option instead, in my opinion.
