Of course he will.

Look at the media narrative already. They're talking him up. He's a media darling and is in tight with AFL powermakers.

How this board views him is not how the outside AFL community views him.
I hope he gets a coaching gig (although I can't see how any board can sell it to its fans) or he'll end up thinking within the AFL how to make the game better, as he learns his polo skills in his pony. His platitudes survive. We will pay for not being a bigl enough club to give Brad the congratulations he needs. Do the agreement and then come out and say that we have terminated him. No mutual agreement bull dust.

We need to not let this be about him. He failed. We terminated him. He was surprised like 666! Give me a spell.

A self made elite. I'll call rubbish on the rubbish the club has agreed to to soften the payout. Party the man out and let the board explain the contract extension. Tell the world he was sacked because he was no good. Can't let this ham manufacture his way out. Brutal for morale. Like a dictator standing down because he is cornered. And the media celebrate him as what? They are not sure. A good communicator. Not a good communicator but a brilliant tactician.

F off.

Chugger Brad trough is gratefully removed

Never met the man so none of this is personal. Just perceptions and echoes of friends. A man who, in his exit speech, should have talked about the jobs he did in the real world. He never had to work or even get coffee's for people except maybe Nathan Buckley, who hated him because Eddie McGuire whispered in Scott's ear and then Scott backed off talking. Buckley was backed in when the white ant was no longer a possibility.

There is the door you trumpian failure. Lessons are learnt in life and I personally, am thinking of learning the Flamengo.

Glad I will never hear Brad Scott's comments fishing my Flamengo dancing.

Is it too much to ask?

All the coaches of the good teams are pretty honest

Good to see you support something - those in the afl media over our own club.

I'll take the 241 game playing, dual premiership winning bloke that actually played for North thanks.

Yes, all hail David King. Snake_Baker wants him on the board!! He told supporters to stop fighting!!

April 2006

DUAL Kangaroos premiership player David King has forecast a grim future for his old AFL club unless it relocates to the Gold Coast.

King today became the latest North Melbourne old boy to call for the 'Roos to move its base to Carrara Stadium or face extinction through a lack of money and support.

"There's no choice, we have to go," said King, who played in the 1996 and 1999 premiership sides during his 11-season, 241-game career.

"I hate saying that, but I'd rather go up there and hang onto something like the Fitzroy people are still hanging on to the Brisbane Lions than have the club go down the gurgler."

The Kangaroos are considering moving their secondary base to the Gold Coast when their deal to play games in Canberra expires this year, and could make Carrara their new home.

King believes a permanent move is inevitable and said many of his former teammates preferred a shift if it meant the club survived.

"We'd rather have a club to celebrate and be a part of than have it just go down the drain," he said on radio station 3AW.

"The North Melbourne supporters down here must realise that they will have no club if they fight this, they will end up with no club."

He gave an opinion on what he saw as a futile situation at the time and has since redeemed himself.

I mean, it's not as if he was still a club employee and ACTIVELY undermined his club when acting as an outside consultant at the same time.

I'll leave it for the gullible folks like you to shed tears for the loyal Mr "it's Killed North Melbourne, but it's been good for the game".:thumbsu:

Know this for a fact do you or just using taking what one Bigfooty poster said.

David King supported us moving to the Gold Coast. You do know that? And you want him on our board now?
Ron Barassi, Malcolm Blight and many other ex north legends did the same.
Kingy on the other hand I think from memory was at the beginning of his media career.
The AFL was on a campaign to get as many media personalities and journos to support their agenda and push public opinion to us relocating.
I guess kingy was promised the keys to AFL insider information if he toed the company line.
I don't condone it, but I do understand the Self preservation aspect to it.

Lot of so called ex legends of the club went on about it long after the decision was made.

In David King's case he's made a lot of 'lol Norf'-esque jibes since 2007 as well.

You want to be a muckraking boys club flog in the media....fine....but don't write articles or wear scarves like some sort of cheerleader.

Can't say Brad Scott has been self serving in the same sentence and say King hasn't.

Not defending Brad at all for the petty shit he did yesterday, far from it.

How much longer this sewer staying unlocked?

What a sad past few pages

LOL.

The bloke that gets off on spearing people in to each other is all of a sudden acting like an icon of dignity.

Gee that must have pissed you off remembering that 2 years ago lol!

I don't actually remember anything from then. You do this type of thing regularly. Keep the "holier than thou" act for the leptons.

So hang on, you can justify the actions of a guy who, WENT PUBLIC at our darkest hour with encouragement for supporters to NOT fight the death of the club. In fact you now want him on the board in place of people who have us in our strongest off field position ever.

Yet you have complete outrage at Scott’s comment that the rule change killed us?

One used the word ‘killed’ in the context of a win/loss 9 rounds in. The other actually advocated the club’s death through relocation despite recently suggesting he had a deep understanding and appreciation of our culture.

Hilarious.

So pure self over club despite the dire consequences? That is fine, he made a calculated choice for himself, but pretty hard to give his intentions any credibility now if the above is true.

You're assigning emotional states that just don't exist on this end of the monitor.

You can shed your tears for Mr "It's killed North Melbourne, but it's great for the game" all by yourself.

We bury him today, and his loyalties will quickly shift to the next entity that's cutting his cheques.

I'll still be here.

If this is the case, why the **** did we go out and recruit 4 senior players last year, presumably with Scott's blessing? It seems he thought he could do something with the list, and then two months later he wants to completely change list strategy. That would be bizarre.

This is classic Scott lots of noise, smoke and mirrors, no substance. His biggest deflection from his performance (which incidentally cemented his contract extension) was overseeing Boomer and co's exit.

I am not shedding tears. I have said multiple times that I think his time is up and he should go.

I am bringing a fact base to to hysterical, revisionist criticism that you and others are making of a guy who gave a lot to the club despite not getting the ultimate success.

Then stop behaving like a virtue signalling phony.

It's a great day for the NMFC.

Some people are carrying on like we've sacked a triple premiership winning coach>

Brad was sacked because he was an average coach.

Ten years and he never took us to the promised land.

On average we lost every second game.

Thanks for your time Brad, but now it's time for a new face and new ideas to get our club back up to where we belong.
