Bye Bye Nobles

I went back and had a look at where Brisbane were at the same stage of of Fagan’s second season. After 12 rounds Brisbane had one win and a % of nearly 80%; they didn’t score their second win until Round 14 and finished the season with 5 wins.

Forget the percentage for a minute, and if we contemplate that the Brisbane model is the one we’re following, I get a feeling the club is willing to ride Noble out for most of the season and will be hoping for a bounce after the bye (heck, maybe even today against the Giants).

His position, as much as it seems untenable for many of us now, feels like it will be more likely judged by where we are at by Round 20 rather than the outcome of today’s match.
Wishful thinking. We won't win another match with Noble's game plan. Hopefully after today he will be sack.

I agree that we probably need to hold off any decisions until the end of the season, but our sheer level of un-competitiveness at the moment is at almost unprecedented levels and well below Brisbane at their worst. Not convinced sacking Noble will solve much but ultimately the coach has to take responsibility for the teams performance.
Hopefully the boys come out today and give us something to take into the bye!

I reckon some of you guys will be gone before Noble at this rate. The angst is off the charts.

You’re not wrong, it’s been getting real personal between people lately.

Yeah, times are tough right now but the level of anger between posters really is off the charts.

We’ve won 4 premierships since St Kilda’s last and only. And we’ll win no.5 before they get their 2nd!

Yeah well it’s another game and another test for Nobles .

The good or is it bad news for the Nobles is that GW$ aren’t a quick side , so this should be fairly close and we may pinch it .

Get flogged and oh boy will be a tense week.

So you’re hoping we lose? Some supporter you are
I seem to recall at least a couple of games over the last few years where people hoped we’d lose in order to maintain or improve draft position - essentially because they thought it was for the longer term benefit of the club.

For those who’ve come to the view that Noble is the wrong man for the job then the principle is probably the same.

Not something I’ve really understood no matter what the circumstance.

What margin does the tense-o-metre start flashing red?

Another first quarter and games already over. Surely this is it for noble. surely. Do something Sonja if you remotely have half a clue

14 fwd 50s to 4 against a side that is battling, is baffling this.

You’d hope we wouldn’t sack Noble but that he’d quit . Do the right thing if you like

It’s the lack of effort as well. I just don’t see much spirit. We’re not going to improve if the players don’t care to compete.

When do we call it, and admit he has lost the players… idk

This is the result of a coach who is trying to achieve arbitrary KPIs and not win games of football.

And also the result of an organisation that has placed the blame for their onfield woes on their players.

The club is gutless if they allow David to coach after the bye.
