Can Port win a premiership under Ken Hinkley?

Port players are soft, that is clear as day.

How much of that is because of Ken?
Less than half of this team played in the Bulldogs home preliminary final embarrassment of 2020. Only 4 of them played in the home elimination final loss to 8th placed West Coast in 2017.

The common denominator in all of these home final upset losses is Hinkley. It's always been Hinkley. He is quite literally the biggest finals underperformer of all time.

Home finals under Ken:
  • EF (2014) vs Richmond = WON
  • EF (2017) vs West Coast = LOST
  • QF (2020) vs Geelong = WON
  • PF (2020) vs Richmond = LOST
  • QF (2021) vs Geelong = WON
  • PF (2021) vs Western Bulldogs = LOST
  • SF (2023) vs GWS = LOST
  • QF (2024) vs Geelong = LOST
3 wins, 5 losses.

Hinkley only needs the one mate in Koch and he has his back unconditionally.

Hinkleys position is rock solid and will remain so until Koch is removed.

Straight sets again.

Surely Josh Carr doesn’t have to wait another year now.

Surely Port can’t just think Josh Carr will be the magic bullet? Where is his magic now? Are we pretending that he’s got no say as the senior assistant and apparent succession plan? I’d say he’s part of the problem

Who was the worse selection call - Dixon or Rat?

Dixon should have been told to retire at least 3 years ago.

Instead the brilliant minds of the coaches decided to make him the focal point of our forward line and bomb it on his head 40 times over and watch him get out marked.

Should never play again. Shouldn’t have played for years.

I would suggest this would be the most brutal prelim defeat yet but I imagine nothing's topping the Bulldogs one. This will be resignation because the home and away form line has ended any hope of the fans being listened too.

Imagine spending months admonishing your own fans for spending their hard earned when THEY WERE RIGHT.

Hey?
Haven’t you heard, when port loses its Ken’s fault ,when they win Josh carrs responsible!!

Big picture :

Kenny got the city Adelaide and the State Sth Australia two AFL finals. That's a success.

Even if they win a flag they only getting two home finals anyway

From the Koch business perspective Kenny is a success equal to a flag.

Koch doesnt think like a regular fan

The list just isnt that great. Ken or not you aint winning a flag with Dixon/Esava/Evans/McEntee/Narkle parading around in your forward line

How do you beat a side when you got 3 of their rejects lining up in the forward line?

They got a pretty big turnover to do in the off season to get the best out of the top 15 players they have. Perryman isnt the answer here. They need like 4 bodies in who can make a impact, especially up forward.

If only Ken had access to a small forward averaging over a goal and over a goal assist a game who he could've played there instead of one of those spuds.
