Its a reserves team competiton which you have gotten to the final of by fielding a reserves team style 11 (outside the defense which has suffered alot of injuries). To turn there back on them now would be even too rude and condescending for Arsene. My prediction at a 11 is

We will play our best available 11, there is no point coming this far to not give ourselves the best shot at winning. As stupid as it sounds wining this will give our players belief and get the didier off their backs.
Kind of makes the Arsenal fans on here hypocrites given the amount of crap they gave Tottenham over there celebrations winning this mickey mouse cup. Now all of a sudden your treating it likes its the fricken Champions League final and your desperate to win it

The only reason you care about winning it is because its a nice little back up excuse for failure in other forms of the game ie. we might not of won the EPL but atleast we won some form of trophy...

The only reason I care about winning is that there won't be as much pressure on our players from the media etc and we have already come this far, to not win the trophy would be a complete and utter waste. Even if we do win, not winning one of the big 3 will still make the year a failure.
I know it hurts you guys didn't make the final but pick yourself up embers.

Your first paragraph pretty much confirms my theory. You want to win because its a excuse for failure when it counts ie. less pressure. You say that then you say it will be a motivational boost . A cop out = motivation now does it
I openly stated many a time I didnt want to make the final so why would I be upset that we didnt win it. I want to win the FA Cup because it has history and significance. Id rather beat Liverpool on Sunday than win this glorified scratch match with some ugly silver at the end of it
If Arsenal lose ill be happy for Birmingham because IMO McLeish doesnt deserve the current criticism he is getting. Im not ignorant enough to suggest this competition actually means anything to Wenger. I know it does to McLeish though. Hes the one hanging onto his job.
