Cody must of had 10 plus inside 50s and really could have kicked 6 or 7.

A lot more work to be done but he definitely looks a top 5 pick.

Let’s hope he really works on his kicking and decision making along with his awareness. Could be a gun really early in his career.

Go well young man 💙

It's a non issue. We'll still have first dibs for him but will have to pay more. If he is living up to the hype then it will be worth whatever we have to pay, especially coming into several years of compromised drafts. Having access to an elite talent like this when we'll be nowhere near the elite end of the draft is like striking gold - just like Colliwobbles and Daicos.

Yes, they paid less but drafting a generational talent when you shouldn't be drafting there is immense - and will be worth even more then Tasmania come into play.

If he's worth pick 1 then bloody hell that's a good thing, not a bad one.

(may be getting ahead of myself calling him generational/elite etc. but you get the point)
Good point with us getting a waft of F&S coming through as Tassie approaches. Hopefully we're really upping the training and work with our kids academy over the next 3-4 years.

There's no chance we have anything to worry about regarding Cody's NGA status. He has been to training sessions at Ikon park numerous times and the club has invested in him and he has reciprocated. That isn't even mentioning the NGA ties don't mean anything if your picked in the top 40

Shows what a joke the NGA is. Supposedly to attract athletes from non footy backgrounds and bring them to the game, in reality father-sons are in the system. We have an AFL players brother in ours.

Not sure what the issue is. This is straight from afl.com.au

A key objective of the NGA's is to increase the talent pool of Indigenous and Multicultural players.

Walker is Indigenous, so is Gresham, why wouldn’t they be eligible?

From the AFLs NGA website:

"The program is targeted at Multicultural and Indigenous communities who may not have as much opportunity to be involved in football programs, or who have limited understanding of the game and how it is played."

It's targeted for communities with non-football backgrounds. However, it is open for anyone, as that's why these players slip in, but that's not what the program was/is for. Hence why I said it's a bit of a joke

Don't think you need to look far to see a Ben Campo comparison - to me he's very George Hewett-esque.

Good in traffic, gets from contest to contest, great vision and hands, tidy kick in space but not elite, solid defensively.
