Blicavs 9 touches.

Let's complain about Duncan and caddys midfield output.
The three of them played like they weren't interested but I refuse to single out the three of them because majority of the side did too.

Credit where it's deserved to Henderson.

Second tier mids, along with effectiveness of Selwood the issue. Just lazy. Three or four well below the standard required.

Oldies in the backline then look slow, and struggle with the flow of ball continuously coming in.

Then we're sloppy coming out of defence with no one running or able to mark the ball.

Docherty throwing his guts up at the end of the game says it all. We just are one way footy players

Pathetic, insipid effort again today. We just can't handle teams playing tough against us, we wilt under the pressure and fall to pieces. Now every team knows what to do to beat us. Kudos to Carlton they played hardball and smashed us. We are so far from a premiership favourite at the moment.

Smedts and Murdoch are spuds, just get rid of them. The rest of the team needs to have a long hard look at themselves and think about what a privilege and honor is to wear the blue and white hoops. Stop playing like a team who thinks they have it in the bag and start playing with some guts, determination and also smart footy.

This wayward kicking and giving away stupid free kicks already puts us behind the 8 ball every game. Scotty needs to cane these guys on the track this week and get inside their heads. Right now they are not as good as they think they are.

time to go Chris Scott

keeps playing 4 tall defenders
has a great midfield on paper but cant make it work (where did Blicavs play?)
terrible forward structure
extremely undisciplined side
players cant kick goals
sold the future for the now so its flag or bust

If we continue to let mediocre but eagre sides get a sniff by missing easy shots early in the game we will continue to have results like this.

Once that happened we are just not that good that we can expect to turn it around and run over the top. We have issues. We need a lot to go right and it hasn't in the past couple of weeks. Several players out of form and the team as a unit is not playing cohesive, dangerous footy. We are easy to play against right now - put pressure on Geelong and you will have a great chance of worrying them out of it.
Yep

It doesn't matter what level of footy you play, if you give a lesser team a sniff they will often scrag and fight and show you up

We should have been 20 up at quarter time and the game would have been completely different

Credit to the Blues they took their chances early and fought and hung tough when the play went against them

Umpires and poor kicking cost us the game just as it did against GWS and Collingwood. I'm fed up with it.

We could be sitting top of the ladder and un-backable premiership favourites if these weren't the two key issues. I guess we have next week to look forward to.
GWS have done nothing. We should smash them at home by about 150 points if the umpires don't get us and our goal kicking is improved. Maybe beat them by 185 points actually.
We can then smash North Melbourne as well as they are only pretenders and the weakest top four team of the last decade.

Well, I think they've finally done it.

I've been a "committed cat" member since its inception, but if they can't be bothered, neither can I.

Maybe it's the booze talking, but I haven't been to a game in 3 years, money's a bit tight, and honestly I just can't care.

$205 to spend on PC games seems like better value.

Disagree, we put in, our structures are just terrible.

They scored most of their goals from turnovers. Lets concentrate on hitting targets and kicking more goals than points for once before blaming structures.

But you are right on some level, our wins were built off keeping the ball in the forward 50m and picking off the oppositions attempts to clear it and that's virtually unsighted the last two weeks.

22-10 free kicks how do we expect to win a game wit that differential. Scott needs to have a talk to the umpires department, you can't say Carlton where that disciplined and at key moments like the holding the ball on Guthrie just before half time and then clear out of bounds not being called with casboult and the push in the back with Duncan being called a block. Selwood played today with 1 arm because he was constantly held the rest of the time but no mention of that. Then motlop giving away frees no mention of that half the time he was dripped in the ground but that's fine can beat up on him he should just have to take it. I have never been so frustrated wat ching a game our skills really let us down today but the one side umpiring that was close to cheating was ridiculous.

Seasons looking grim. Can't see us beating north or the dogs after that pea-hearted performance. I'll try to be positive but that was just awful.
We play GWS next week. Why are some supporters so dismissive of the owaat idea?

Played all year without a CHF, the most important position on the ground IMHO. Plus cant buy a free, 22 to 10 today eg: Dangers tackle on Kruezer, he just dropped the ball end in Carlton Goal, should have been Dangerfields free. Poor coaching becoming a problem, should have sent Blitz to CHF and Guthrie to tag.

Why would you not put Blitz on Gibbs. So many clearances they got away so easily. Hopeless performance.
Selwood could have even done a tagging job.
All need to see sports psychologist for kicking.
Outlclassed.
Why not try harry up forward.try something
Coach has so much faith in system that won't try a radical approach
