Then it was 1 win from our next 7

And now back on a 3 game winning streak, with our latest victim the reigning premiers

It wasn't always pretty tonight, but there was some really smart play to see us take the lead into the last and control the play when most needed

Considering we gave up 6 easy goals and played average it was a good win to have. Never thought we were in trouble and just rapt at our midfield turnaround.

I just felt when Collingwood were on top but just couldn't get more than a goal or two ahead that we'd come over the top and bury them. They were gassed by half-way through the last quarter, and we were starting to play smarter and smarter footy.

Clark tries hard but don’t see him being more than an Atkins level player. Still need this type of player but let’s not blindly believe he’s anything more sbd just take it as it is.

Good to just get it done when it just wasn't looking like it a lot of the game. Newer players and Danger/Stew excellent. Got some worries with experienced players on wings through to defense. That set up isn't achieving anything now or in the future.

Horrendous umpiring but they stuck fat when Collingwood got on top.

SdK dropped his head and his effort a bit too much for mine.

Humphries was the most dependable player all game. Pick 63 is a steal.

That's pretttttty much finals locked in given the run home.

In the end a really good win on a night that our best alluded us for the most part.
The good thing that I liked was how we got them to arms length, and just shut down their game and gave them no chance to get back into it.
Some huge positives that continue to show themselves, but some really negatives that seemingly are unable to recover.
Our defence will cost us a final this year, Henry, Kolo, SDK, Tuohy, Duncan and at times even Stewart are barely even witches hats and unable to make even moderately correct decisions. Need to fix those players/system or else we are a lost cause for the flag.
Lawson Rising Star for sure. Absolute gem.

That win was set up the youngsters - Humphries, Dempsey , Neale, and co. Not once did Humphries look like he was going to turn the ball over tonight.
Wtf was the discussion with Ash Johnson while the game still had 5-6 mins to go.

By far our best of the 3 recent wins. We own the Bombers and the Hawks just didn't get going, but the Pies had a plan and executed it (even with injuries). To win even with a bit of sloppiness and some players down - just another professional performance on the path back to September.
