I'm sorry but those days are long gone I'm afraid.
We are ******* cursed.
I've never been one for rank defeatism. I think it comes from a lifetime of supporting North Melbourne.
We'll be fine. It took us 50 years to win a flag, and we had many years of tough times before that. Every buit as tough as now.My dude I have been a supporter since before I can remember, the only difference between us is that I am in my 20's and too young to remember the glory days.
As far as this club is concerned rank defeatism is all I know as it is all it has ever given in my lifetime. As it has for an entire generation of us.
What we need right now is for the boys to get around Clarko and deliver a backs to the wall performance like 21 years ago in 2002 when those boys got around Anthony Stevens and delivered a win in Archer's 200th over in Port Adelaide.
If ever there was a time to put the Shinboner Spirit on full display from President to boot studder, this is it.
Go North.
If Wardlaw is debuting, feel sorry for him that it's being overshadowed.
Agree with that, but you only get once chance for a debut. That said, could be good for us to move on, hit all the socials tonight and tomorrow with his debut and make it about him rather than Clarko not being there.I get ya, but I doubt he cares if that's what happens. He's a single minded pro and wants to crack in - I doubt he will care that he's not getting the PR attention.
All academic if he's not in line anyway. It's not the worst game for it though, struggling Swans outfit, home crowd - a bit easier than lining up against a red hot Collingwood outfit a week later...Agree with that, but you only get once chance for a debut. 6 out, surely he gets a game. All academic if he's not in line anyway. It's not the worst game for it though, struggling Swans outfit, home crowd - a bit easier than lining up against a red hot Collingwood outfit a week later...
I hope so. He might be a bit off full fitness but from the bits I've seen he could easily play almost an aggressive defensive forward role if he can't handle full time. As long as the legs are right he'd have to be close.6 out, surely he gets a game.
yep, watched him on Saturday fitness will be the only concern, he will have a crack.I hope so. This has been flipped on its head. No idea whats going to happen. The atmosphere is going to be nonexistent.
Really really flat.
I was looking forward to this run of fixtures two months ago and now I just don’t know why I should care when the players don’t. Clarko needs to start firing campaigners. The performance isn’t good enough and there is no excuses. Honestly the run of performances since round 5 have been absolutely pathetic.
4 coaches 17 games that is absolutely cookedThis has been flipped on its head. No idea whats going to happen.
Marstermind bit of a trivia. Has North (or any other club for that matter) ever had 4 different senior coaches in the space of 17 games?
Noble: Round 17 2022
Patch: Round 18-23 2022 (6 games)
Clarko: Round 1-9 2023 (9 games)
Ratts: Round 10- 2023

Yes.
Ian Thorogood coached Carlton in the last round of 1977. Ian Stewart then did Rounds 1-3 of 1978. Sergio Silvagni did the next 3 rounds. And then Jezza took over. Four coaches in 8 games. Funny thing is that Carlton made the Finals in 1978 and won the flag in 1979. And then Jezza quit.
At North in 1939-41 we had five coaches in 20 games. Keith Forbes finished at the end of 1939, Len Thomas coached the first 7 rounds of 1940, then to end the year we had Jim Adamson and Wally Carter co-coach for the rest of the season. So that's 4 coaches in 9 games. But then Bob McCaskill took over for 1941.
