No I didn’t think you were. That’s not where I’m coming from. I just think our emergencies should be the midfielder we are most likely to use, a spare midfielder, a tall and probably an impact forward like Lohmann. We could name a defender, I suppose. No harm. All good.I am not advocating for Lester to be replaced in the side.
Just that in Fish’s list of (emergencies) he has Darragh Joyce listed and I would think that Darcy Gardiner would be ahead of him as defensive cover.
As far as mids go he also has Jarryd Lyons and Prior who are capable of wing and mid-forward and back as cover. Also Fort as Ruck cover, so it makes perfect sense to have a defensive tall as cover as well.
Its ok 3KZ, Lester appears safe, barring injury.
You’re right, I missed that. I don’t know why you would have Prior and Joyce. Well spotted.I am not advocating for Lester to be replaced in the side.

If we win we should have this banger pumping through the Gabba
Which hopefully won’t be before a Prelim.Perhaps we should save that for our knockout final.
It shows that the Thursday night selection melts were an unappreciated diversion in our gradual decline. We could talk about trivial stuff like what is the meaning of life or does there even need to be a meaning.
It's just my feeling that they're pretending Gunners could be ready to play again as a little ploy to keep everyone on their toes and not give the opposition too much intelligence.Did anyone see channel 7 news tonight with Gunston holding his left hamstring.
He was not running in the clip
Could be just tightness in regard to his injury on the same leg.
Looked way off playing on that very brief footage.
Big Kev and Gaddafi would be playing dead. Krusty would be good because at least he’s animated and would lift team morale if he was named SUB.Gonna be a long, long week if we’re debating the emergencies already.
We could list Big Kev, Muammar Gaddafi or Krusty the Clown in our emergency list and it not make an iota of difference.
Maybe, maybe not. Melbournes midfield is considered the best in the league and we have done well enough against them on multiple occasions. This is the one matchup I was afraid of.
Ports midfield in my opinion will decimate ours. Hopefully the backs and the forwards can hold the fort.

I rate it zero hope. I don't think that's because I wouldn't want to see it happen.
He’s had a better chance in his career, but this is certainly his best chance he has had since he has been with us.Quietly confident Neale has been setting himself for a massive finals series. He will understand this is the best opportunity of his career to win a flag and one as captain no less. I expect to see the best version of Neale we have seen yet in September. Remember his final v Richmond last year? He will be mentally ready for a massive finals campaign.

If that’s Jack Gunston, mine would have been mistaken for Daniel RichI prefer this one
Funny that...on SEN yesterday they are saying Port's midfield are the best in the competition. I guess it depends on what story the media want to go with relative to the audience they want a reaction from.Maybe, maybe not. Our midfield needs to be at their best though.

I'd back Neale, Dunkley & McCluggage over Butters, Rozee and JHF in a final. We'll soon see.
To be fair if we get outside they will struggle to reel us in too.If Port get outside, it's pretty difficult to reel them in. Will be an exciting match up.
Ross Lyon on Footy Classified on Wednesday night said that Neale, Dunkley and McCluggage is an AA quality mid trio.I'd back Neale, Dunkley & McCluggage over Butters, Rozee and JHF in a final. We'll soon see.
