Fair enough changes I guess. It seems the (relative) youngsters Smith Ramsay and now Broomhead have been managed through this period of short breaks....along with Reid of course. Phillips also missed a single game...also managed perhaps?

Personally I would have left it at two changes and returned Ramsay through the VFL. But I see the strategy....replace like for like. With Varcoe out Ramsay is in. With De Goey in, Broomhead goes out. Reid for Schade is a no brainer. Structure of last weeks lineup unchanged.

Schade and Broomy stiff to miss out, but Reid and JDG are unquestionable upgrades. Ramsay for Varcoe makes sense, although I'm against recalling players who've been omitted and then not earned a recall on principle, but he's definitely the most like for like replacement.

Still wish it had been Cox out and Schade retained with Reid forward. I reckon our forward line would function so much better with that set up.

Ararat is an awesome little town rich in culture right at the foothills of the Grampians making it have amazing views with awesome wildlife all around. Also has some good resterants and some little china town with temples an awesome spot. It's also holds the infamy for being the obese capital of Victoria haha. By far not the worst town in Vic to live in.

Really hoped schade stayed in so reid could be pushed forward. Had high hopes for ramsey at the beginning of the year after such a positive start last year but not sure if has anything tlo do with acl but he looked way off in the first 5 games, easily beaten one on one and some ho rrendous errors into direct goals. Hopefully proves me wrong and cant wait for de goey to cpme back in.

Rotated between the main midfield group and the Pendles group out on the outer side. Looks fresh and raring to go. With a bye in about 6 weeks I don't think he will be rested at all this season now he's up and running.

In the role Broomhead was playing (basically the Blair role from the past few years), is De Goey really an upgrade? De Goey is a natural inside mid, not a tackling/creative forward.

Honestly think Broomhead is stiff to miss out. Hopefully he's actually being "managed", and isn't dropped on form, because he's been playing his role well, especially for a guy who's missed so much footy over the years.

Don't think he plays if Varcoe was fit, but we needed a half back, and he's the best available this week.

Schade for Reid, De Goey for Broomhead, well that just makes sense.

4-5 goal win, lock it in.

I dont understand why Schade was dropped. Did a job on Hawkins last week. I get Reid is an upgrade, but surely the upgrade from Schade to Reid is smaller than the upgrade from Cox to Reid.

Reid should be playing forward, if he doesn't with he current makeup of the side he never will. We have 3, quality stay at home tall defenders, and there are 2 spots for them. We have 1, quality tall forward, and we need 2. Reid has proven he can play forward, and we have also proven we don't ned him down back (we were fine last week).

It's just a waste.
