Ramsay in?????? Thats an easy 5 goals to carlton right there. Don't care what anyone says but he is a hopeless spud and I would rather alter the whole team structure than play him.

Think schade is a bit stiff. Would have left schade in and moved reid forward.

Did anyone notice the emergencies?

One is a standard dropped player so he knows it really was line ball: Broomhead.

One to make Dave very happy and keep him very happy: Aish

One to troll the Collingwood Bigfooty board: Number 11

Broomy clearly the obvious choice to be the nominated rookie. Wont play VFL with a four day break....needs the week off...

I sincerley hope Broomhead is just being rested and that DeGoey is not going forward. DeGoey should be in for Greenwood who has no tag that suits him; Cripps is too strong I feel. DeGoey should be in the guts.

No complaints about Ramsay coming in but I wish it were off the back of VFL form. It's a let off for him but he was the obvious and really only option.

Reid for Schade is a good call also.

Not unhappy with those changes.

Thank god Broomhead wasn't picked. Gifted games every week.

I dont understand why Schade was dropped. Did a job on Hawkins last week. I get Reid is an upgrade, but surely the upgrade from Schade to Reid is smaller than the upgrade from Cox to Reid.

Reid should be playing forward, if he doesn't with he current makeup of the side he never will. We have 3, quality stay at home tall defenders, and there are 2 spots for them. We have 1, quality tall forward, and we need 2. Reid has proven he can play forward, and we have also proven we don't ned him down back (we were fine last week).

It's just a waste.
Apparantly Schade is being managed.

Translation, may be, we really really did not want to drop you but Reid is well Reid and the Dunny he stays in too

Apparently the other in is................:D

It never disappoints. And I'll never tire of seeing the umpire's lack of interest.

The most dangerous side we've looked on paper for yrs.

I love offensive sides.

Hbf id replace Smith over time with a fast moving flamboyant runner. Obviously we need a FF. I think we can somehow tweek our KPBs with our current list to look reasonable enough.. but still we need that Rance type to take ownership of it like a kayzer.

Schade was passed by Dunn last week and now Reid (who is our number one) is back.

Schade's immediate future lies in the hands of Mason Cox. If Cox gets to the level the club wants then Dunn/Reid/ Howe wont get sent forward any time soon and Schade will have to perservere in the seconds. If not....people may get their Reid forward wishes fulfilled and Schade returns.

In the role Broomhead was playing (basically the Blair role from the past few years), is De Goey really an upgrade? De Goey is a natural inside mid, not a tackling/creative forward.

Honestly think Broomhead is stiff to miss out. Hopefully he's actually being "managed", and isn't dropped on form, because he's been playing his role well, especially for a guy who's missed so much footy over the years.
Yes, I believe he is. Gets more of the ball, kicks as many (if not more) goals and tackles harder. Fwiw, Broomhead is actually also a natural inside mid. Watch him at VFL level and you'll know what I mean.

And I did say Broomy was stiff to miss. Would have preferred Phillips out and Broomhead to move up to a wing, but such is life. I'm more disappointed we're persisting with Cox and omitting Schade tbh.

In fairness, the midget did have a good game last week.

Dunn played on Hawkins last week. Stop giving Schade credit for others work.

I think people are forgetting the form Ramsay was showing before he went down last year. In his last game against Richmond he was a serious contributor for us. People get too carried away with form slumps. Players can bounce back. I remember people here writing off Grundy when he got dropped for a couple of games in favour for Witts a few years ago.

What 4 day break? He'll have had 7 days when the VFL plays on Sunday, seriously doubt they'll rest him.

Ramsay, fairly lucky. Hopefully he can turn his form around because we've seen he is capable at this level.

Broomhead and Schade stiff, but both have been upgraded.

All I know, he would survive nuclear attacks, and still get a game.

The great cockroach.

This is what happend with a good few players fighting for a spot or two.

But who predicted there would be such hot competition for key backs
