The whole team now?! We simply can't catch a break. When you get that much of the ball it can be very infectious. Hopefully, it rubs off on a few more of the team.

30 possessions or more is bound to result in a dose. The whole team now?! We simply can't catch a break.
Here's the thing.Saints beat Freo with a defensive master in the coach's box and on home turf.
Freo in Perth looking to respond after a bad loss is an entirely different proposition.
It's great that Clarko's instilling belief, but belief takes time to build. As a fan of the team that's won the last two wooden spoons, I can only apologise for being realistic about the factors that will likely influence this game's result
Just trying to help our chancesSure man
maybe apologise for the drivel you posted on their board
You're definitely right there, it just takes a while to undo years of conditioning. I have faith that the players will be more optimistic than some on here, myself included, and that's really all that matters. Once the belief in the players becomes evident, it becomes a lot easier as a fan to share that beliefHere's the thing.
We're underdogs...
but they're vulnerable.
So we know they'll most likely win but ... they're vulnerable. Their forward line is pox and we have at least one of their guys with something to prove on our backline. Meanwhile we have some good energy, some very smart young footballers and some committed guys as well. We're not favorites but we're still a chance here.
And Clarko wants us to develop the expectation that we'll win, being realistic doesn't matter. We need to go in thinking we can beat them because we can if we do things right and have a little luck. And us supporters can help by thinking that way too. Whatever the odds.
Sure am. Still available?Hello friends, any Perth contributors/creepers interested in 2 free tickets to the game on Saturday night please drop me a message. It will be seated with the north members. I have a fresh newborn at home as try as I might I don’t think myself and the wife can work around getting there with him. Cheers!

I agree with this sentiment, but will point out Williams is actually in his 5th year and has played 26 games. Probably even more damning for him to get beaten by a non-ruckman.I like the idea of keeping run and pressure high, but Greenwood around the ground versus a 1 gamer like Bailey Williams is an altogether different proposition to Greenwood versus Sean Darcy.
Yep, fair play, I got Jack and Bailey Williams confusedI agree with this sentiment, but will point out Williams is actually in his 5th year and has played 26 games. Probably even more damning for him to get beaten by a non-ruckman.
Sheezel first kick went straight to them. Haters gunna hate. He will stay in. Get over it.
And going much further back, LMac's first kick went straight to Paul Chapman after the latter had gone to the filth, and if IIRC, the ball went straight back over Luke's head between the two big white poles. I was sitting directly behind LMac and thought to myself as he was putting boot to ball - this is not going to work. One of those moments when you can see the train wreck unfoldingI did comment to myself at the time, similar to the great Tommy Powell iirc. Tommy trying to hit CHB while Harry hit his to around the HBF. Just a skinny 1st kick, new ball and all.
It happens. I once got Kane Cornes confused with an inanimate lump of wood.Yep, fair play, I got Jack and Bailey Williams confused
There's also the fact Ron Joseph just died and Clarko credits him, along with Pagan and Kennedy as saving his career when he was a young troubled lad. He may even been involved in recruiting Clarko to North. You're definitely right there, it just takes a while to undo years of conditioning. One difference being I would back Tom and Harry now to hit that target .... I am a left footer, and hold little faith in LMacs left peg.And going much further back, LMac's first kick went straight to Paul Chapman after the latter had gone to the filth, and if IIRC, the ball went straight back over Luke's head between the two big white poles. I would rather Bonar on Fyfe. Ziebell just doesn’t have the athleticism to go with him.You mean in relation to Comben? Behind or to his right. Simpkin usually started behind Chom.
Yeah that sounds good.
Not at all, and I do like your general observations about Powelly.
The issue I'm thinking about is how we can maximise our strengths around the centre while also defending against Taberner, Jackson, Fyfe and one of Amiss/Treacy.
Fyfe does not appear like much of a threat anymore as a forward. At least if the last game and preseason is any indication. We can just tell JZ punch it everytime it heads in his direction and give Nat all the grief he can muster.
But Bonar and Logue leaves us one tall short for the other three.
Ok, one out of left field:
Taylor to tag Bradshaw. A run with role to upset his outside game. Give Taylor a job to do. He has the best aerobic capacity in the team and is actually both a good defensive runner and killer of 50/50s.
That or Scott. I just think that despite Taylor’s occasional lacklustre finishing, he just has too many intangibles that make us a better team when he is out there.
Not sure who you think Bonar was playing onIf he is picked to play on KPFs then he has to be judged on that role.
If you play players like Ziebell, McDonald, Sheezel, Goater and Bergman down back and the opposition is playing 3 KPFs then you are picking Bonar to play on a KPF. I don't think he should be. It can't be doing anything positive for his confidence to be getting murdered by KPFs.
Not sure who you think Bonar was playing on
of course he was on the big blokes
Bonar was on Darling mostly, Logie mostly Allen, sometimes WC had a ruck down there and they shuffled around
Bonar was definitely on Allen at times as Allen was giving it to Logie a bit
i think he was told not to run with it, he didn’t
and he was told when in doubt, punch Which he did
so far from getting murdered he did a good job
