What teams would Hayes be playing in? Gold Coast? ...

Jarrod Witts is the Ruckman and co-captain for Gold Coast so I'm unsure if Hayes would replace him.

It's alright we'll play Hayes when the weather sucks and he's trudging through waterlogged grass while Lycett nurses the decaying flesh of his severed leg.
Think it’s fairly reasonable to assume Hayes would be getting games, or had at least played a handful of games when other rucks are injured for;
GC (particularly with Witts down last year and unlike us when Lycett goes down would have played the year)
Eagles - Aging Nicnat with basically no backup support would be getting games
Saints - Tried to get Xerri across last year and would be in tandem with Marshall
Geelong - Still don’t have a decent ruck with Stanley their ruck
Freo - Playing Meek/Lobb when Darcy is down
Richmond - Better backup than Soldo and with an aging Nankervis I think he would be playing
Dogs - No backup with English and forced to play a 35yr old Martin at times
GWS - Would have played most of last year with Preuss out and pushed to hold that spot over Fynn this year
Hawks - Had a trade in Lynch as a ruckman and Reeves who is average. Hayes would be first ruck.
Hayes would have played for nearly every other team by now and for a fair number of teams i think would be a regular 22 developing number 1 ruck.
You don't make the 8 let alone win finals without 2 decent tall forwards in form. We don't even have one and Dixons probably half a season away, Marshall is close to being delisted and Finlayson is worse than Damon White. Let's hope Ken's gone just after the bye.. I think hoping he's gone before the bye is a bit of a premature ejaculation. We'll be 2-7 by Round 10

What's Hayes contract status?
Until the end of next year but we all know contracts mean nothing anymore. If he doesn’t play this year he’d be silly not to request a trade.
He will be 23 in a few months and on 0 games. He will need to get a good couple of years experience under his belt and minimum 50+ games before he’s really ready to be a dominant ruckman.
So if he doesn’t debut let’s say till late in the year/next year, he will be waiting till he’s in the middle/later in his career span until he’s a quality number 1 ruck.
He shouldn’t have to wait till he’s 26/27 until he’s a number one ruck as we have refused to get games and experience into him.
Look at English and De Koning, young rucks need to play and get game time to mature.
If I was him I’d be requested a trade for sure if not getting regular games this year. He only has a limited number of years in which he can make a career and won’t waste them in our reserves waiting to get games.
