“Will consider bringing Tom Mitchell into the 22”

We literally told Fox and everyone else for that matter why we “rested” Mitchell. And they still try to make a drama out of it! Mitchell is obviously straight into the 22.
Flys been pretty strong on his views of the sub. Whoever is the 23rd man seems to be "dropped" from the side which he hates

Newsflash... Collingwood to include their best inside mid for top of the table clash. FMD.

Butters and Dixon expected to play.

JHF and McKenzie will be assessed during the week at training, likely to be eligible for selection.

Should have picked it as a fox sports article thanks Jen! A rehash of press conference and injury list review passing as journalism should have Waterworth feeling embarrassed…
Feel like that's a bit harsh! I wouldn't know what was going on at 17 other clubs from Monday - Thursday. So an article summarising the state of play like that is useful to me. Agreed that we can't pass it off as journalism though of course though.

Butters groin is cooked. Dixons knee is cooked.

Genuine desperation if they're sending both of them out there Sat night.
Better for us if they do.
Groin and knee injuries not that great.

Dixon always seemed like a Maynard situation. Has had the knee problem all year, they gave him a week off in preparation for a big block of games.

Not sure if they needed all of their 7 changes. At least one was a returning player in Duursma, but 7 changes when going well is never good.

Showed again that instability is death.

I did much the same in 2010.
The whole year I told people the Pies would win the flag.
When asked why, I said it was because I would be in France on GF day.
Went to the airport after watching us flog Geelong in the prelim - I was a happy camper!
History to repeat.

( warning,… meaningless post about myself)

I was in London in 2009. Thought about going to a pub to watch the gf but it was the middle of the night and didn’t care about either side so listened on a very dodgy internet connection. A week later I was in Paris , at the louvre…. And bumpeD into Caroline Wilson!!!

2010 I sat in the mcc members…. After a mad shuffle withe the ticket ballot, I ended up sitting with a very old family friend. Whilst we had sat together as a large group many times, i quickly came to the realisation that I’d only sat with just him twice before. The 1977 GF and replay! After witnessing another draw in 2010, I turned to him and reminded him of 1977 anD said, “ I’m not sitting next to you next week” 😀😀😀😀…. It’s bad luck

Was it love ❤️ at first sight?

I'm going the full delusion. I'm too young for the 60s and 70s GFs. Since then, to me, us losing a lot of grannies hasnt been about the Colliwobles on GF day, it's been about us being magnificent at winning semis and prelims and getting to a lot of grannies that we shouldn't have made.
In 66 and 70 we were clearly the better team. But you are on the money in 77, 79, 80 and 81. We were a team of triers and trade ins that played above ourselves with Hafey's coaching and our fitness

Absolutely untrue about 1977 and 1979. We were easily the best side in 1977 ( carman missing cost use hugely) and in 1979 we were the equal of Carlton, just a question of the best side on the day. 1980 and 1981 we were definitely not worthy.

I am still $%#@ annoyed about that 46 years later.

He was at least the equal of Nick currently. Possibly more important to the side.
To make matters worse he copped 2 weeks missing the replay as well.
Tribunal killed us.

I was 14 and cried my eyes out.

Everyone loves Beau McReery and I think he would be a favourite of the coaches but I have a feeling he could be unlucky if we have a full list. He rarely gets mentioned about missing because we love watching him but there is going to be someone very very unlucky at the business end because we have 25 or 26 regular players vying for 23 spots.
Who would have thought that Jarryd Blair and Brent Macaffer would be playing ahead of Medhurst, O’Bree, Lockyer in early 2010.

Disagree. In a pressure packed final i want Beau out there in the last quarter with the intensity he brings. Anzac Day for one. Carlton last year another. Probably more

Picking the sub this week is just as hard as the omissions for Mihocek/Cameron.

Lipinski, Hill or Mccreery for me.

And Adams subbed off if we're winning, otherwise just the worst performed subbed off as normal.
I'd love Beau to be sub this week. He's been a bit quiet lately. Might be what he needs..being asked to be the high impact player when required..
