No Marshall, Dixon, georgiades and rioli in our forward line absolutely sucks.
Would’ve been nice if we spread our injuries and suspensions out evenly across other sections of the field.
I just think this one will be a bridge too far with those outs. Dixon needs to play if fit. And lycett/hayes need to play so finlayson can play majority up forward.

Pretty hard when you're a ruckman and the coach puts you in a forward pocket week after week.
After lycett got beaten by an sanfl ruck all game, Hayes comes in during the last quarter and murders it.
Imagine how bad lycett will go against gawn and Grundy lol

My interpretation of the interview, was that Hinkley was trying his best not to insinuate that we were resting Dixon purely because we were playing North and hence taking them lightly. Instead he almost made it clear that he wouldn't be ok to play Melb on a short turnaround if he did play North, so that to me felt like they were resting him and that they had an eye on the week after.

Great match coming up, should be a great litmus test to see where both teams are at.

We are going to be audited Friday night and our form over the last 6 weeks will be moderated as a result.

I think we pressure really well better than anything else we do, if they cart it out the centre with ease through their superior rucks it will probably get ugly. We can't just let Lever & May have a field day with bomb entries either.

Have they been trying to develop other areas of hayes game (forward line) before bringing him in again? And teakle was merely a stop gap until they were ready to bring lycett back?

Definitely. I think this will be the most interesting aspect of the midfield battle.
Will we be able to maintain composure kicking into the F50 or will we be pressured too much and just bomb it long?
During this 6 game run, Rozee and Butters and a few others have really lowered their eyes and tried to hit targets with a pretty good success rate. If we can win the midfield or break even and get a bit of space and we hit targets, the influence of Lever and May will be lessened.
I would be putting Drew of Petracca to slow him down too.
With regards to the rucks, I am praying.
I think they go with lycett but if he gets his arse handed to him his position on the list will be untenable.
