So he had one poor game.

He will be picked this week as he should be.
I’m sure the numbers look pretty all three of his games have been poor. I hope it’s only a form thing

That said, to me he should be played up forward. He’s having to much difficulty defending which when it comes down to it is what he needs to do when he’s down there

What I am hoping for this week is more effort and skill improvement no matter who they pick.

I am concerned if we pick young guys that are not ready They will get smashed.

it’s going to be a long year again and I will be surprised if we’re not getting the numbe one pick again.

My concerns with Perez isn't his hardness or physical readiness for senior footy, it is his conditioning, endurance and especially the knee.

I see him as potentially a 200 game player.

If we have to wait another five or six weeks to give him the best chance of achieving that, we should do it.
Yeah whenever he is fit enough to run out a game properly. Its more likely to be a few weeks than this week. But if he's ready to play now we shouldn't hold him back.

Dropping the Captain would be a disaster, you would lose some of the playing group, it would be a feeding frenzy in the media.
It just can’t and won’t happen, regardless of his form.
Then we're ****ed.

However swapping Goldy and Jack might work if Jack plays CHF and Goldy replaces Walker or Mckay.

It certainly can't be any worse than it was on Saturday.

l cant see Goldy playing as a backman....hasnt played in that position before and is not that fast. If a tall has to go back it should be Xerri. Also Jack needs to keep playing as he is only being beaten because he has to step up and take a bigger opponent and if anyone should be dropped it has to be Polec and maybe even Zurhaar..Neither seem to be in form and haven't been for awhile ..

Dropping the captain has got nothing to do with being a sugar hit.

It's about picking our best 22 players, of which he is not a member.
In April and May, we play six of last year's top eight.

We need hard bodies, we need experience and we need leadership.

Ziebell wasn't great on the the weekend, but if we follow your suggestion, we are dropping him and three other 100+ gamers and replacing them with four blokes with fewer than 80 games combined.

That's just lambs to the slaughter.

Superb fixturing from the league.

Totally fair end equitable.

Yep, because those hard bodies served so well on the weekend, huh.

We need talent and to give our talent experience. And we're sure as shit not going to get that from guys who either don't have it or are finished.

Jack has been awful this season and it's reasonable to infer from Noble's presser that players arent doing enough to drive standards. That falls squarely on the captain and it should be him that's made an example of.

FWIW, everything you say about GWS is also true of Gold Coast.

The question was simply whether any young team had copped multiple 100+ point losses and been successful. GWS did that, with multiple prelims.

Look, we're in a shitty situation. I don't think it's worth arguing about whether we are on the right track yet because it is clearly a long-term overhaul, not just of the playing list but of the whole kit and kaboodle.

It was never going to be a one or two year turnaround, and the people who thought we might win 8 or so games this year were kidding themselves.

We've a long way to go, and we'll have more weeks like this before we are done.

At Noble’s first presser as coach, Ben Buckley spoke about something like pushing for top 4 after 3 years IIRC

Making an example of someone is pretty childish.

Ziebell had started the season poorly but he was third in the Syd last year. He hasn't lost all his ability over the summer.

We're terrible all over the park, but to ditch the players with experience would be throwing the baby/babies out with the bathwater. The weekend's result was horrible, but really, we'll get slaughtered week in, week out. And I don't see how that helps.
