I don't think i've seen anyone say anything like that.

Plenty have said that Quicky.

In my best team we're only missing Aish, Elliott and Mayne.

Wells is a "break in case of emrgency" this year IMO.

I hate going to Telstra-Etihad-Marvel-Stadium-Dome and it seems the team hate playing there.

Playing a bogie side at our least fave stadium.

JDG to kick straight, and Elliot to shine after a rest. Grundy has an opportunity to make a statement.

Port are the team I’m Always nervous at playing.

It would be more disruptive. They'd go from spending ~10% out of defence to ~20-25%. Also Roughead would get killed in there. Moore is probably more important to keep in defence. I just really hope Cox gets up.
I have a feeling that Cox won't get up this week and seeing as Reid played some ruck in the VFL, which is unusual, it migh be Reid and Elliot to come in for Cox and Varcoe

Bit of a misleading stat considering we've only played them there 4 times in our history together.

I only mentioned that it was interesting, not a guide to the future.

Given we only play five teams twice a year and probably only one of those at the most will be an interstate team, four sounds about right.

In our history we have only played 13 home games v Port (excluding finals) in the 22 years they have been in the comp. We are 4-0 at Docklands and 4-5 at the MCG. So it is an interesting anomaly given historically Collingwood don’t play well at Docklands.

Too many on here over rate our list
Notice How's our reserves going

We had a super cushy
Draw last year with super seasons from a few guys , didn't win it and almost lost our last game against freo , hence missing 4

So we weren't dominant

We have fallen in against dogs and dons

Here's a suggestion

Try explaining why you rate him so high
Too many on here unwilling to accept a different view and just reply like children/ sheep

I made it at the start of the year

Not sure the performance of our VFL team as a unit is an indicator of how any 1 individual from that group will perform when they get a senior opportunity. History suggests elevated players generally perform the role they're needed to.

I'm a little nervous Cox may struggle to get up this week. He looked very sore when he came back on in the last quarter.

Had his calf stomped but you'd imagine that'd be fine to go this week unless there was any bone damage.

Oh No, just read that Boak will be playing his 250th game this week.

Don't like it when an opposition player is playing a milestone game, especially one as classy and means so much to his team.

Might have to revise my margin.

We seem to have changed from a variation of the richmond style to a variation of the west coast style.....for the second week in a row, the "keepings off" strategy is up against what seems to me to be more of a "push through" type. Port is winning more contested ball and clearances, which essendon has done, and I heard that we were going to be kings in these midfield-type skills. All these theories are very confusing to a simple person like me. I long for the days of Mick and grab the ball and kick it down the line. It seems to me that if Port starts winning the contested ball and clearances, our backline will be tested on whether it can maintain a keepings-off structure. To me, the worm started to turn when we started bombing the ball into the forward line last week. It seems to be a common theme that we get on top and then think we can just kick it in and magic will happen. We maintained that preciseness against Richmond and slaughtered them. The success - sometimes - of the injection of de goey into the midfield, indicates to me that rather than being worried about the defensive side of Beams, for example, it might be more about the midfield crew getting their hands on the ball first. The fact that Grundy gets his hand on the ball first indicates to me that something needs fixing. Elliott coming back is going to change the personnel up forward and the effects are going to spill into the midfield....the obvious one being de goey. I need to read a gary lyon book on how to play footy and reappraise my assessment.

Can't understand why we have to play our home games there

Magician. Improve us twofold. I haven't read that about Wells and I think it takes an exagerated impression of comments from posters who are a bit more positive on Wells than some. I don't think its unreasonable to think a fit Wells has something to offer us. His form and fitness are improving in the VFL, and while he doesn't quite seem ready for seniors yet, I think he could be at some time during the home and away. That is good news for the team.

If Cox is out Reid will definitely be the inclusion. The question is then who second rucks? I'm not so keen on dropping Varcoe and would probably go with Brown but someone needs to go out for Elliott. It's a choice between Brown, Varcoe and Thomas.
