Certainly an option - he's done it before. Only issue is that he hasn't played in defence for 5 years or so.This but had the bizarre option of Finlayson back and lord forward

I keep saying it - none of our current defenders have the body size or strength to go with Curnow or McKay. Burton is tall, but he's built like a stick, and would get bullied. Bergman is a bit stronger, but gives up extra height, as does Jones.
Jonas has the experience playing on a bigger body - he has to be selected. It may not work out, and then we draw a line through him. If he can do a serviceable job, then that's great. Better we find out now rather than later.
I think Aliir is our only good matchup on McKay. I don't think we have anyone close. McKay is 200cm. Aliir is 195cm IIRC but with a strong leap. You might well be right. Aliir takes McKay no doubt and is a good match. Bergs definitely starts in defence.
But remember Bergs is giving up 10 kegs and a couple of inches on Curnow and Curnow is as mobile as any forward. Will take a super effort to make that work.
Burton routinely gets outbodied in marking contests by smaller and larger opponents. Bergman rarely does.Bergman is 189 cm/86 kg
Burton is 191cm/ 92 kg
Not sure how that equates to Burton being skinnier and weaker.
Yes, where dinosaurs go to die.Woodville Oval on Saturday was like the La Brea tarpits.

The the streak has to be broken at some stage and it would only be fitting for the team to be led by Jonas that day. Hopefully that will cement his fate to retirement.
And you were going so well!hayes is alright as far getting the tap goes but how much that actually helps is debateable. There is a a better argument to put Dixon in the ruck until his legs explode and play lord upforward
dixon is pretty much like franklin last year, its obvious he's just about cooked so we might as well use him up to our advantage then call it quits. Knowing Ken he'll go with him into finals because he's been a Hinkley backer since day dot and then realise he shouldnt be in the team around the 3rd quater mark when we are 6 goals down. And you were going so well!
Yep, there is. It's the fact we got a heavily corrupted fixture given we finished 11th last year. Our last two losses (and only two losses) came against Collingwood and Adelaide respectively. After this week we play those same two teams again in that same order.
There’s something in that I reckon.
When does McEntee come under scrutiny again? Low numbers no goals etc

Scooter moving well at training.
Aliir not training but was at team meeting this morning
No surgery.Did Lycett actually go under the knife to tidy up that cartilage or just physiotherapy and a rest?

There's a lot that McEntee does that goes under the radar, he's the one doing the grunt work so others can shine. I'd have him in before Rioli, he's a head down no frills player. When does McEntee come under scrutiny again? Low numbers no goals etc
lol. McEntee before Rioli! McEntee should be dropped for Narkle if we are being serious. There's a lot that McEntee does that goes under the radar, he's the one doing the grunt work so others can shine. I'd have him in before Rioli, he's a head down no frills player.
