I just don’t have the energy to care anymore, it’s 2023 and Matthew Nicks with the exception of Dawson has selected the 2020 season midfield group of Laird, Crouch, Sloane, Keays and Schoenberg that brought home the wooden spoon, it takes some effort that after nearly 4 seasons in charge to revert back to the losing formula of your first year in charge, speechless…

If Crouch stays in i can see Rozee or Butters running it out the middle with Sloane, Crouch and Laird all waddling behind not even getting close.

waddling behind would be an improvement. Exoect them to push sideways waiting for some cheap ball to come their way.

What’s funny about this post George Kramer? Cook has been terrible this year, that’s not the wrong selection here, it’s Soligo missing and keeping Crouch.
Did you watch a different game last week? He kept trying million dollar kicks and fluffed almost all of them. His Sanfl form was average, his game against Melbourne was average. Soligo should have played last week and should be playing this weekend.
Maybe you didn’t watch it, Cook 88% disposal efficiency, 6 score involvements.

Despite that, the kids played the one game, dropping him and keeping Sloane who has had an awful month.

Soligo should have come in for Murphy. Murphy was actually dropped for McHenry and only kept his spot due to illness and his game was considered good enough to retain it?

Facts are our coaches and selectors are morons. A midfield mix of Dawson, Laird, Crouch, Sloane and Keays is ****ing awful and no matter how much the club pays you to police this thread, it’s a pointless exercise.

Port play a pretty simple midfield gameplan. Congest it, then paddle or grubber kick it to Rozee or Houston waiting behind the pack who then passes on to Butters who then breaks from play (or vice-versa).

Just get Keays to stick by Rozee and Jones to stick by Butters. McHenry to lock down Houston.

Take those 3 out of the game and Port are relying on metres gained by scrubbers like Wines and Boak.

Keays best tagging outcome was Saad to his second highest disposal tally of his season. He's useless at impeding a direct opponent winning possession.

Gov is out of contract. It will feel like 2017 all over again.

Saw Richie Douglas and Petrenko at Sloane's 250th.

Surprised they didn't get a call up this week.

Sog rips it up after being rested an automatic in, but no....

Our midfield will be Dawson, Laird, Crouch, Sloane and Keays.

I can deal with these selections if, at the first bounce, we see Dawson, Crouch, and Schoey lining up in the centre, Sloane and Keays at HF, and Laird to HB.

But I think we'd be more likely to see pigs flying overhead.

Laird and Dawson will be in 100% it’s who gets the other gig that will be in question.
