Sounded precautionary... hopefully.Thilthorpe injured at training according to Josh Money
So since 2014, Carlton have played at Adelaide Oval a total of 5 times (once against Adelaide and 4 times against Port Adelaide).
How the * does that happen?

I didn’t see him go off?Thilthorpe injured at training according to Josh Money
He can hamstring 2 in a row .I wouldn't be worried about him. McGovern struggles to string two games together these days with his injury prone body. Docherty, Weitering, Saad are the most damaging in their defence.
It's what Nicks et al have done all year with their crazy selection policies, favouring underperforming seniors ahead of juniors, and playing promising juniors out of position again and again and again. Not loss-minimisation (they're not so dumb that they don't know we're going to lose games), but size of loss minimisation. If we are prioritising loss minimisation over rebuilding with no chance of playing finals, we are deadset morons.
They do lie.
Frampton is good enough for SANFL level, but a clear example of a player not good enough for the highest level.
I'll literally break my computer if we attempt Frampton yet again at AFL level without giving one of the other kids a go first.

Didn't we try that last time (with disastrous results)?
Surely this would be a good opportunity to use Hately on Cripps.
I didn't think Frampton played very well against Norwood. I thought he turned it over too much and wasn't anything great defensively. The club may have rated it but I didn't.
2 best tacklers in the league is a bloody good achievement. Just need to get some of the others to tackle as well.Just been reading the Carlton board and it led me to do a little research on the form of our main 3 mids.....who they don't rate.
Wasn't aware of some of these stats but surely has to give us a little cause for positivity....?
Few of them basically saying Laird good, Keays s**t, Berry OK.....
Laird is actually elite, and will be AA this year again.

Keays also not s**t - is actually rated as elite in many areas this season. Yes his kicking is crap but he gets a load of inside ball and does give us a lot of in and under, out of stoppages and CC's)

Berry - we all saw his breakout game last week - is turning into a gun, and is the no. 1 tackler in the AFL in his 2nd season.
In fact, we have the top 2 tacklers in the league in him and Laird.

Whilst we still obviously lack enough damaging speed and outside run, we do have some bloody good ball winners, and I wouldn't be surprised if this game is a lot closer than many predict, or even a win.

Carlton apparently has never won at Adelaide Oval and their average losing margin is over 10 goals.
Our tackle numbers in the forward and backline need work. Most of the tackles are in the midfield as Nick's pushes players up to pressure but the downside of this is that our smalls aren't in the forward line to kick goals or tackle. It's not the tackle numbers but where the tackles are that's important. I would like to see us win the ball more and by extension have less tackles in the midfield and increase tackles forward and back. Using the ball better goes without saying. We are the #1 tackling side in the AFL, by a considerable margin. We don't need other players to tackle more.
I would prefer our players to focus on using the football better.

Who's doing the tackles in the forward line? Most of the time all I see is our talls when the ball is entering our forward line. I wouldn't have thought they would be great tacklers. We have the most tackles in the AFL inside forward 50.
On a list of the clubs top 10 problems, tackling doesn't get a mention.

Last for marks, 17th for kicks, 5th for Handball. Obviously the game plan and kicking needs to be the focus in the offseason. Better kicking will increase marks. Our teams leading tacklers inside 50:
Walker - 21
McAdam - 18
Berry - 15
Fogarty - 15
McHenry -15
Keays - 14
Rowe - 13
Laird - 12
Murphy - 12
Rachele - 9
AFL Leaders - Top 5
Charlie Cameron -34
Dylan Moore - 30
Lachlan Schulz - 30
Brad Crouch - 28
SPP - 28
Probably a reflection that we can't hold onto the ball for any period of time, so we need to be tackling. We are the #1 tackling side in the AFL, by a considerable margin. We don't need other players to tackle more.
