Great to see the centre bouncedowns with the tackling machines of Gaff and Kelly to start the game. Lucky we will be roving to a dominant ruck crew. Given it we're against the Drug Rats and they are not the hard edge inside mid team, it will be more even than first assumed.

Actually happy to see NicNat build some confidence and touch in the WAFL. Hamish Free (Soufs) has been racking up the HO numbers so a useful test.

I want to see Yeo on Stringer. I am thinking EY6 should be better for the run against the Cats and so long as he can defend and not guard space, it will be an interesting match up.

Two biggest questions for me:-
1. Can we put enough pressure on the midfield to win contested football?
2. Will our forwards be 1 way or 2 way runners?

Sadly the answere are very likely to be
No
One way - Ryan can but doesn'tof late , Rioli is only good for a quatrter at the moment, Jk cannot any more, JD passed on the pre season and is 5% off and thus often ineffective, Cripps works hard, Waterman is a spectator.

An article suggested Yeo was hoping to move back into the midfield.
Usually most would welcome that, but after last weeks game with Yeo and Jones providing some welcome drive out of the back, lets leave him there!?
With TK and SPS returning, Gov out, maybe Yeo will remain down back...blind freddy could see the benefits?

* In scary voice - That's right.Yeoy stays back....BITCH!!!!

JD has been our hardest working forward for the last month and a bit. He's got his fitness back now.

Harry edwards card is marked?

Out of form, I wouldn't say he's been consigned to the scrap heap just yet.

Can still turn it around, but it's up to him

Would have played Harry on 2m Pete, Yeo on Stringer and Allowed TB to play like Gov and man up on Young Harrison Jones

2MP would have sewn up the coleman.
Harry needs to work on his core strength. Just gets pushed off / outmuscled too easily for KPD.
But i wouldnt give up on him just yet.
Give him the rest of the season in the WAFL and let him build confidence / strength.

Needs to spend all preseason working on Agility exercises as well. There's no point having a 204cm key defender if they move like a ruckman.

How much would his well documented growth spurt pre and post being drafted have impacted his agility

And is it likely it improves once he gets used to his body since he’s still only 21 and has only relatively recently stopped growing

Genuinely asking because I don’t know

Wasn't he a midfielder who grew 20cm?

That's a significant change to your body, as well as having to play a completely different position you didn't grow up playing.

You would think Clark would be the sub, given we named 2 defenders on the bench and another 3 as emergencies. Likely Yeo spends some time on ball, or maybe, just maybe, they push Rotham up the ground for a bit and see what happens....
