I’m not talking about resultsPreseason games very obviously aren't about results, especially that early. It's mostly about conditioning and JL basically said exactly that.

Neither am I.I’m not talking about results

He said that hadn't bedded down the changes they'd worked on and that's why he told them not to do it vs IAS (i.e. Vanilla). I am happy to take that at face value.Even so, 'begin as you mean to continue'
Wager the time may have even been in response to Freo saying they want to be back in Perth by that same evening, there's pros and cons to both of course.JL is a loser; he was whining about the start time of the game two days out.
Something about Auskickers and being in the changerooms at 8.30am. Harden up bitch.
Sharp is a coward who won't kick and would rather handball it to a stationary teammate, considering he's built his entire brand as a winger such cowardice is inexcusable. Simultaneously doesn't win the hard ball or have the bravery to execute a kick.sharp needs to be dropped, absolute butcher meanwhile most teams have silky users on the wing. brilliant that he runs all day but he just turns it over at the most inopportune moments.
seems 90% of our players are scared to kick the ball, and fair enough they ****ing butcher it enough, but it just leads to an extra handball and the inevitable turnover.Sharp is a coward who won't kick and would rather handball it to a stationary teammate, considering he's built his entire brand as a winger such cowardice is inexcusable. even our 'athletes' are shit at being athletic! got absolutely tossed aside on saturdayIt’s time to select pose, skills and decision making over athletes.
Too many players who shit the bed.
Honestly they seem scared to do anything - consistently across the board the team has no flair whatsoever and hasn't for a while now.seems 90% of our players are scared to kick the ball, and fair enough they ****ing butcher it enough, but it just leads to an extra handball and the inevitable turnover.
you watch teams like hawthorn or geelong or gws and they use the ball soo much better than us its baffling
It's because we prioritised effort/strength/running/tackling/marking ability over good kicks.seems 90% of our players are scared to kick the ball, and fair enough they ****ing butcher it enough, but it just leads to an extra handball and the inevitable turnover.

agreed to an extent, but your top players cant play A+ games every game, thats when you need your B graders to step up. obviously no one stood up this game.I think our senior players need to be put under the pump as much match committee and coaches. It’s not really the sh** players that shouldn’t be playing anyway that need to lift. We’ll probably drop Reidy and hopefully Worner and pick who we should’ve picked in the first place - we’ll also replace Banfield when injured players return. That won’t solve jack.
For a lot of the last quarter we had our first choice mids in there getting smashed. Time for those guys to take some responsibility and actually wrestle a game back when the going gets tough. It’s not that dissimilar to the last quarters last year - today it just happened to be the first and second quarters as well.
This board loves to pretend it’s the fault of the bottom six and blame them. It’s about time we start blaming our ‘match winners’ that aren’t making the impact on games their reputation and/or stats suggests they should be.
agreed which makes it all the more confusing when we get absolutely destroyed and pushed aside at the contestIt's because we prioritised effort/strength/running/tackling/marking ability over good kicks.
Look how much Reid and Young stand out at our club. Like the proverbial breasts on a bull. Its not brain surgery that in a sport that has 36 players on field, you need good to great kicks to penetrate zones and minimise turnovers.
Look how much Lachie Schultz struggles with disposal compared to his peers at Collingwood. He was about average to good in our side re: disposal.
It's a significant issue with our list, and only further heightened when our best kick Young is out injured.
Go through the list. There's really not many good kicks on it.

Get cox chop out in the ruck, dude needs to harden up.The problem with dropping Reidy for Voss is it means Treacy will need to chop out in the ruck. I think they might stick with Reidy simply for structural reasons
I also reckon they'll bring in an extra mid for one of the defenders, either Fyfe or Erasmus
Out: Switta, Banfield, Worner
In: Bolton, Walters, Fyfe
No the whole point of bringing Voss in is so that he chops out in the ruck. He’The problem with dropping Reidy for Voss is it means Treacy will need to chop out in the ruck. I think they might stick with Reidy simply for structural reasons

JL said if he wasn’t playing last week he would be ready for this week…. Which means he’s probably 4 weeks awayAnyone got any info on Bolton? I'm praying he's ok to go this week...
hes showed his inability to find and hit a target since hes been in the team and presumably has been told to fix it up for a while now. dont think hes got it in him to fix up at this point. He won't be dropped, but he needs a slap down for his reckless shots from outside 50. I counted two that could have easily been passes to teammates.
This was during Ross Lyon time......These day We are more into Vanilla Mumbleberry slices and not reveiling Our highly secretive strategies to the oposition....They are so secretive that even our own players don't know what they are any more....It's because we prioritised effort/strength/running/tackling/marking ability over good kicks.
