How on Earth was he miles off influencing the game where if he kicks straight we win?
We lost one game and everyone went hysterical. I think most supporters expect us to try and make the finals whatever way we can.Not sure why people are acting surprised. Unless Walters/NOD were ready, it was always going to be Banfield in for one of the tall forwards and that's it.
JL is the most bland and unimaginative coach in the competition. He knows no other way and I fear it is going to cost us long term. We should be thinking about 2025, not how to scrape into the finals this year.
Jackson had three shots on goals for 2 points and we lost by 15. 18-2 = 16. 16 > 15.Could say the same about switta, although even if either of them does we still don't win. That's a stupid argument. Fact is, he didn't and he looked miles off it as the vaunted unicorn.

I could say the same about Switta, your the one that said he was miles off influencing the game, I'm just refuting that, it's not a stupid argument at all.
I'm not sitting here arguing he was excellent, I'm arguing he wasnt worst than one of the worst players on the ground and wasnt putrid
I think your maths needs work sir.18-2 = 17
Haha, true terrible, we still win though so point stands =)I think your maths needs work sir.
Treacy was probably worst on ground, fair he goes out. But if Taberner doesn’t kick at least 3 he should watch his back.
Do I win something? Other than a massive feeling of disappointment.Only a couple of hours till we find out but I wonder if Treacy gets another chance. It’s all between the ears for him, I’ve noticed before at training & in the WAFL he’s got great hands & a booming kick, seems to have decent game sense but he goes to water in the big time.
I understand building him slowly but it seems insane not to play Amiss given he’s already at the level. Sturt must be given a chance too.
What I am actually expecting from our conservative match committee is Banfield into the starting 22 for Treacy. Sturt maybe to crack the sub spot or Johnson.
Aha JL must be ******* terrified of North if he's only promoting his pearl necklace supplier. Actual 0 balls scaredy cat.
Fans aren't in the four walls of the football club, but that doesn't mean we're stupid. We still see the patterns and trends because we're obsessed.
Guys like Hughes and Banfield are battlers and are limited in their scope for growth. They aren't the future and they aren't going to lift us to that next level where we become a serious contender. They are 'break glass in case of emergency' types. Why can't the match committee see this?
The club HAS to give senior opportunities to young players outside of the 22 that have scope for growth and are able to perform regularly, otherwise we aren't going to improve further. We're still one of the youngest lists in the competition!
If Noddy's good to go, he should be brought in for Hughes. Sturt or Tracey offer a point of difference to Banfield. Not to mention that Fyfe's now playing the role Banfield's been playing the last few years, which in my eyes makes Banfield redundant. The sub role should be rotated amongst the young guys and selection should be determined on a combination of team structure/needs and Peel performance, so that integrity of selection is maintained somewhat.
I get that the club wants to back the team to respond from last week's debacle, but as a fan, I want the club to maximise whatever opportunities it has to increase its medium to long term chance of winning a flag.
I don't want to imagine what this place will be like if we lose on Saturday...
Yeah I wouldn't of P*$$ed on David King if he was on fire to be honestKing has always been a meathead but after the way he carried on passionately defending Gaff after he coward punched a young bloke in the face I wouldn't spit on him if he was on fire.
It's hard to argue with your post...The thing with people like King (who i agree is a bit of a tool), they can say this crap because we dig ourselves our own hole! losing to St Kilda was symptomatic of our existence. We're laughable at the best of times. We create these situations for others to take pot shots by our own actions.
I'm still miffed at a couple selections on the weekend, and on who we've drafted into the club on big money as it doesnt solve our issue. We're crying out for a proper 100% bonified key forward, and bonified forward supports, we finally have them, and they're playing WAFL or not at all.
Sure, we can hate on King all we like, but we've made our own bed here and it doesnt look like getting any better until we actually select the players that naturally fill our needs.
I remember in 2013, we lost the GF but we were up there. I had eagles supporters tell me they'd still win a flag before us, which seemed ludicrous at the time, but we just do so well at tripping ourselves up. I still wouldnt be surprised if the mob down the road again win a flag before us.
You missed his point mate, why play fyfe deepest forward? It's been one game where he played in a flooded forwardline with horrific ball movement...
Give it a month
As discussed with Kin Huskii, I doubt that was what JL was specifically talking about in that quote given the quoteYou missed his point mate, why play fyfe deepest forward?
Well North Melbourne is $5.80 last I heard....Would actually laugh if they lost with those selections
