Let's just leave it to the fact that you hit a pet hate of mine with your attack on the club "medicos", which was loud and very reactive. If you feel you were attacked in response, apologies, I do not like to hurt people's feelings, but you've been following BF and Geelong long enough to appreciate these "setbacks" are not the fault of the club physios or medicos. As you say, _Game _ has described the situation as I should have.
Apologies again.
Dubs are you surprised he wasn't iced when he did it? the way he grabbed at it was obvious and came straight off.

I listed to the SEN podcast, the claim that Sav has re-injured the Hammy didn't come from Scott there.
“The one that will be a surprise to everyone and a disappointment to Geelong fans is that Esava Ratugolea won’t be ready,” Scott said.
“Again, it’s a surprise to us but if Gary Rohan’s in that cautious subgroup then Esava Ratugolea’s clearly in it as well.
“I’m not really in a position where I can give a clear indication as to when he will play.
“Certainly not this week, there’s a fair chance it won’t be next week as well.”

What rubbish have you forgotten Scott had him ready to play against Port, two weeks for a hamstring it was never going to happen and I was probable the only one here to call it out and copped but Scott said so. Some of you blokes are so gullible. the club releases what the club want's to release and that's not always the truth nor should it be .

I like Chris Scott as a coach - i like his passion and enthusiam - but i dont listen to a word he says - if he comes on the TV or the radio - i turn it off so i dont hear it - basically for the perfect example you have outlined above

Ignorant post hardly deserves a response.
It is clear you have no idea, and best to leave your thoughts in your head, where there appears to be plenty of room.

Wasnt this as you predicted ..post the injuries he had last year ? To me we may have played he a tad long but he got to the rest, came back played a couple ..we then took him out ,,decided not to risk him and he hurt himself in training... which shows the caution they have used was actually fairly professional if not intuitive

If Sav is not going to play it is time to try some other options as the second tall forward as Fort does not seem to be the answer at this stage. Need to give Kreuger and/or Buzza a go just to see what could be the back up plan if Sav/Hawkins goes down in the finals.

It probably won't happen, but maybe play both since two forwards are out injured? Buzza can be second ruck and Kreuger can play forward. Kreuger has played back in the VFL so they can play both with a bit of moving the chess pieces around at various times of the game.

We have plenty of small forward options in the side to rotate into the forward line so as not to be too tall there.

Go back to rd10 this year v the Gold Coast .

On Saturday, Geelong coach Chris Scott took the unusual step of virtually guaranteeing Ratugolea his spot against the Suns, conceding he would need some arm twisting to think Ratugolea wasn't an automatic selection.

Guess what didn't happen.

Well worth a shot.

Scott said in his presser, after the Richmond game, that it was just 'precautionary' and that it was so insignificant it wasn't worth worrying about. He corrected that to a 'slight hamstring strain', in his update during the week, which he expected to be so minor that Ratugolea would play in the game against Port after the bye. A 'standard' hamstring strain, refers to a 'low-medium grade' hamstring strain, when I'm referring to it. Anything from a test, if no tear has actually occurred, to 4-6 weeks if it has but isn't off the bone. The typical expected recovery time for these, is 3-4 weeks. Very rarely does it happen to be two weeks or less if there is a tear.

An extra week was given, to be on the conservative side. It's now been said that he's re-injured it. What I am saying, is that he trained too early, which appears to have aggravated the original problem or, they never managed the original problem correctly (icing on the day, as mentioned by CE).

Loads refer to directional changes, rate of speed/changes from low speed to top speed (acceleration), and time on ground training. It's now gone from 'we expect him to play this week' a couple of days ago, to now 'I can't give you a time frame.'

My issue here is, is that he didn't say 'he re-injured his hamstring, it's low-medium grade' etc. He said 'I can't give you a time frame', which is always concerning as it means that they're unsure and it's not cut and dry now. We have had numerous instances of this, with players like Cockatoo and McCarthy when he was here, having their prognosis and time frame changed every few weeks. Menzel went from being routine, to having a bad reaction to an injection, which has never happened before. Hell, Gregson had the wrong sized screws put into his foot which cracked his navicular and led to re-injury multiple times.

**********

I'm frustrated with a constantly changing narrative (we've had more late outs than any AFL club over the past couple of years), that has been present throughout a lot of my years supporting Geelong. Notice that I'm not yelling, taking pot shots, acting aggressively, or trying to belittle you. I'm simply stating the facts as I see them. Could very well be wrong, but a lot of it is genuine frustration, so some comments about the club and the medicos might be a little more incendiary than they were intended to be.

_Game_ is a perfect example of how to respond to a post without acting rude and 'holier than thou' with your responses. Your response and Vdubs is an example of playing the man, and how not to respond. But continue with your pot shots if you both want. That's your prerogative.
Fair to say that we are not top of the table historically when it comes to injury management.
Bad luck?
Just like in the real world there are good and bad medicos, physios, dentists etc.
maybe our guys just ain’t top shelf..

Confusion reigns!!! Lol

Not exactly sure what’s gonna happen. Selwood into the middle, Tuohy on a wing, Bews back.

Fogs to replace Rohan with forward pressure.

Stanley and....... nobody in the ruck? Hawkins the only forward target? Danger to go forward? Who bloody knows.
