I'll lose my shit if this happens. While he only had 9 - he didn't kill at least 3 passages of attacking play like Jong does weekly.

Webb looked really good in the 3rd quarter, if he plays more consistently with that kind of aggression and attack on the ball the numbers will start to positively trend. Kid needs more than 1 game to try build some consistency.

Seems like the one string to his bow at the moment. But with Sloane out I'm not sure why we'd need him.

I didn't think he was that unhappy with Boyd. He did say he wasn't happy when Stefan Martin started to "spike the ball around" late in the game because their clearances were threatening to wrest the game from us, but he also said there's a spot for a ruckman to come back in (not English yet) so if he liked what he saw of Trengove or Roughead in the VFL today I think one of them will come back as #1 ruck and Boyd will spend more time forward - that seems to be Bevo's preference for Boyd at this stage. He pretty much said his other ruck options were underdone at the moment (Trengove, Roughy) or overdone (English) so it had to be Boyd and Dunkley tonight. He said a few encouraging words about Campbell but I don't really think he's first or second in line for a callup.

He did say that the second ruck "probably won't be Dunkley" and managed to keep a straight face when he said it.
That'll make us all a bit happier. I don't mind Dunks as a brief surprise tactic but not for 50% or more of the time as it seemed to be in the first half.

Yes he was impressed that Boyd rucked pretty much non-stop the whole of the last quarter when he was needed. I think his overall opinion of Boyd is pretty high.

Dale won't come out unless he's injured. Bevo said his second and third efforts tonight were much improved which was an area he'd been told to work on. I thought his one-man campaign on the wing against three Lions players in the second quarter was a great passage of play even though Hodge eventually got away and they kicked a goal.

Don't know much about AC joints but he seemed to play out the second half OK. Might be a case of "test" later in the week. Six day break won't help.

Going by Bev's press conference, the reason we didn't pick another ruckman, was because Roughead and Trengrove have missed to much games. English needed to go back to the two. He doesn't want to bring in someone for the sake of it, and to build fitness and form in the AFL. That's what the VFL is for, and that he wants players to come in and push into our top six players. So I can understand his standpoint there

That being said, he said its likely Dunkley wont be second ruck this week.
