Bonner and Bergman are in better form than motlop was before he got injured. Sorry mots.

or you make our forward line as potent and skilled as possible so we don't have to watch the ball get bombed inside 50 with copious repetition like we do most weeks and get a game into a proven finals player. While dropping a defender whose recent good form can be covered by the recent good form of other real defenders.

Sorry Bonner!

McKenzie back in for Clurey, Fantasia out for Motlop per Ken.

Expected the former, but the latter is a shock. Thought Raz was just coming into form and his nose around goal would be crucial for finals. Very surprised the coaches don't see it the same way.

EDIT: Turns out Raz has done a hamstring - Ken said he expects it to be just a week.

Why would you drop Fantasia after he kicks 3?

If you wanted to drop a forward the answer was Gray not Fantasia. And I don't even think Motlops pre injury form warranted dropping either, let alone his sanfl game performance last week.

OK nevermind was an injury.

Dropping Robbie Gray is never the answer unless the question is “how do we make our team worse?”

His form in general this year has been meh and post injury has been poor. Looks slow and is losing most 1 on 1 contests. Does absolutely nothing off the ball so if he is not winning contests he is a liability.

Close to the end.

Hopefully it is just 1 week. Orazio's small injuries always seem to take longer than initially thought.

That gives Motlop 1 game to prove he is fully fit and should be in for finals. If he does and Orazio is back, not sure what happens.

This is a terrible take. Was having a very solid year before the injury, and is building nicely post injury. Picked up 19 and 2 goals on the weekend plus 7 goal assists. Absolutely deserves his spot

Ross Lyon exposed our weaknesses pretty well on footy classified.

Bulldogs handball game will see them comfortably get past our press which looks great against the weaker sides who just bomb it out of defense to alir and co

Ken will need to have a plan b if we we press real hard against the dogs because if they get through its over early
That's very generous of you. Easy to get around any press if you can chuck it at will...

Robbie provides leadership and direction as well as occasional bursts of absolute stardom.

I also think he knows how to get in the head of his opponents and fills an important role in that regard.

I agree. Plus any defender that has to play on Rob will no doubt be stressing!

Anyways, my statement has been taken out of context. I said that I'd rather have gray in the team than motlop. If it came down to it and Ken was deadset on motlop I'd have fantasia over gray. Fantasia has had a better year than gray
