you cant be serious about McDonald surely, you are taking the pi$$. He was in the worst three on the ground, one was subbed off due to injury and the other had 1 touch, he was the third. He is a supposed LEADER and SENIOR player in this team and plays like he is in Under 12s. Im sorry but the players made a huge mistake making him captain. He needs to relinquish the captaincy and move back to the VFL and let someone who gives a play

He is only decent in space and even then, his disposal isn’t good enough to justify him in the side. Terrible inclusion in the team.

Not just for next week but structurally:

I'd like to see Phillips in for the CBA. Lets see Wardlaw play some time forward to apply fwd pressure and give him a break. Lets punt Stevens out, we need sheezel on a wing (or CBA) transitioning, delivering inside 50, and kicking goals. Bit harder to make that move with Goater, Bergman, and now Kerch injured, but is Archer, Hardeman, or Brayden George ready?

Dury looked good as a small forward stays in. What to do with Zurhaar? If ready to come back in next week, perhaps Duursma pushes up onto a wing at times to get into the game,,,,Curtis, Ford, and Duursma the future of our medium forwards, I'm still of the opinion Zurhaar is massively over rated and fact he hasn't signed, feels like a McKay situation all over again.

Liked Biggies game....starting to thing Logue, Comben, Biggie could be the near future, until Will Dawson is ready, and then perhaps he or Comben move forward.

He hasn’t got the speed, smarts or endurance to be playing 1s footy unfortunately. He is kaput.

FWIW, I think persisting with Stephens and Fisher is necessary. At least until McKercher is good to go and Riley earns a debut. Even then, I'd put Fisher and RHJ (when form warrants) into the forward line to see what they can produce.
