Lobb takes the centre bounces before rolling back to defence? Macrea starting on the wing to roll into the ruck, truck starts back and moves upto the wing when Lobb goes back?

Selection has not been too bad this season so can only hope.

We have to win, no time for gimmicks. The only player physically ready for the ruck is Lobb with Darcy as support.

Our weaknesses down back have been Khamis and Coffield.

Both JOD and Buss can play their roles better now, nothing about development and Freijah should have come back for one of them a couple of weeks ago

Tough game if they do. We should win but I will never get the WCE game last season out of mind.

A few areas were exposed and with Tim out we have some forced changes.

Lobb to ruck

Busslinger for Lobb. Will be great to give him a go.

JOD for Khamis - Khamis has shown a bit but needs more strength and aggression to play defence is not a 1:1. Coffield should be better and smarter but wonder why Bevo didn’t swap them. JOD is mobile and a beautiful kick and much better (but not great 1:1) but also decent mark. Friejah is a star and is smart with great footy awareness but can’t fit him in? Would be OK if he played also.

Assuming Naughty still plays? If not for smaller and being in either Clarke or Baker.

VDM is struggling too. He does a handful of good things but is this good enough to keep out some very good players. I think like Coffield and Khamis - we can only have one of VDM and McNeil - would swap him with Garcia and bring Macrae or Sanders. Caleb was good when he came on but would rather give Sanders a run. When Macrae came on a few weeks ago he got 10 possessions in a quarter - that is fantastic. So could flip them but any one watching the VFL game can see how good Macrae is.

If they subbed Naughty due to knee soreness it would be some risk to have him take any centre bounces.

No idea what to expect this game, the way they lost the Crows game almost wiped out any goodwill from the previous month.

The keep Lobb back to allow time to gel with Jones and co for finals argument is pointless if we lose this game.

Which bringing Gardner in to ruck would almost guarantee that happening.

Probably not great to debut a smaller, 18-year-old ruck against the in-form ruck of the competition, when Lobb can do a serviceable job.
