Cameron is still not hitting the scoreboard that much but his efforts on team defence are some of the strongest in the side currently. See him pop up all over the ground and he's probably the best tackler on the list. Bailey really needs to lift in this aspect if we are to cover Cameron well.... unsure if he has that application in him

So Jeremy Cameron’s tackle on Daicos (nearly 🤮 having to type those 2 names in the same sentence) has to be sighted, a sling tackle by the collar had
the potential to cause a very serious injury.

Yeah thinking Dunkley might have him covered in the tackling stakes, and Rayner, Berry, Zork and couple of others, in my opinion of course.

We're appealing the MRO decision at tribunal according to Jon Ralph
I’ll be interested to see what approach they take, but absolutely they can contest the contact was to the body, not to the head.
The result of the action is severe as Duggan’s head hit the ground and He was concussed, but Charlie did not make contact with Duggan’s head.

This would bring the sanction back to 2 games which is not unreasonable in the current climate. Charlie’s action resulted in another player missing 2 weeks.
(Although a player who tackles someone to the ground resulting in an ankle injury gets nothing).

Charlie gets 3 games even two game suspension, or even One well it's a bit of a joke isn't it.
There is no consistancy at all, between common sense and just random pulling up certain players and letting others off with a slap.
Are we now saying when you elect to tackle and you hurt someone you will get weeks.
Ffs, get a grip, it's all about money and liabilities not even about the health of these blokes.
Maybe players should have velcroed tags on their shorts , rip them off and in a high squeeky voice yell tagged.
No thanks.
There is some consistency - if a players action results in a concussion, they can expect to be suspended (unless it’s a knee to the back of the head in a marking contest).

What doesn’t make sense is brownlow eligibility. A poor tackle execution (by the current assessment) does not make you an unfair player, it just typically means you’ve not adjusted to modern standards.

Might ring our good friend Levi to see if he has any plans this upcoming Sunday afternoon.

I'm still waiting for him to pick up though, hopefully he doesn't use BF given how much chatter there has been of him lately ;)

Nursing a shoulder so he may not be available.

Bring this bloke back. He'll crash through a few before they bring him down. May not play next week but he can concuss a whole opposition team in the middle going for the in-and-under hardball.

I don't think Charlie being out will affect our chances much, but what a terrible decision.

Did not look different to Bedford. In the brave new world, a tacklers first movement has to be to ****** momentum - brace to slow it down. Otherwise you are liable for the result.

Question is - what do we do for 3 weeks?

I think people are underrating what Charlie is doing without the ball and outside of kicking goals if they think he won’t be missed. He absolutely will be.

Charlie's a significant loss imo especially against the Swans.

Firstly the opposition put work into him and sometimes sacrifice a player to shadow him. Secondly every time he gets near it they half panic and it eases the pressure on the rest of our forward line . Thirdly he's now playing for the team and gets up and down the ground ,lays tackles and exerts pressure ,in a lot of ways he's a better player for us now than when he was kicking goals. Coincidentally he's stopped sooking when he doesn't get it served up on a platter.

As far as the suspension goes why tackle anyone any more ? Just sit on them ,harass ,smother , tackle when you can pull them back but never when they can propel themselves into the ground.

That's what people thought when Hippy was rubbed out for a week, see how well that turned out!
(though the week off did seem to spark Hippy's form turnaround).

The only good thing that could come out of Charlie having a couple of weeks off would be if he got his own little training block and comes back in 2023 form.

Outs- Charlie Cameron, Logan Morris(managed).

Ins- Brandon Starcevich, Harry Sharp.

Play Zac Bailey in Charlies role, Reville into starting 22 McKenna sub, Rayner plays more as the 3rd tall forward.

Anyone able to upload the full On The Couch discussion about Bedford and Cameron?

Buckley, Brown and Dixon were very critical and completely dismantled arguments for suspension.

Buckley perfectly made the case for how Duggan created the momentum that led to the concussion.

He won’t get off as much as we all think he should, any chance he had went out the window with his “good bloke” defence earlier this year.

It’s time for Bailey to step up now. Had a horrible year by his standards but the number 1 small forward role is his now, we need a big month from him to keep this roll going.
Lohmann is our number one small forward by a mile this season. As for Logan Morris, no rest this week. If Charlie goes out, Reville comes in and plays on a HFF perhaps.
