Getting to the ruck situation if Bellchambers is starting to dominate the hit outs then maybe it is time we start looking at Ryder as simply a forward leaving Hille and Bellchambers to work the ruck.

With Bellchambers hit out to advantage being really good it is tough to leave him out and Ryder is able to kick 2 or 3 goals a week, possibly more and relieve a bit of pressure off Hurley and fill the second tall forward role for a while as Gumby is looking to be a long shot before mid season now.

Not sure who you leave out of a forward line that is performing though, will be a tough call.

The match up on Garlett is vital. He can play a bit of footy.
I think Dempsey had him last time? Dempsey's defence seems to have improved, though TV can be illusory.

I think only Dempsey can go on Garlett in terms of like for like match up. Only one to match him for speed and agility. If he can wear him probably like a glove then he's the ideal match up, but of course we know Courtney's accountability is a major issue. He's been alright this season but I still don't know if I'm 100% he can do the job.

I remember Fletcher playing on Paul Medhurst when he was up and running at Collingwood and he had tore us apart in the ANZAC Day game. 2nd time round, Fletcher played on him and destroyed Medhurst and we won the game by 8 goals. Fletch hasn't lost any pace and I reckon he could go with Betts.

Fletch will have to play tall this week, so he wont get betts, you would think one of hardigham or McVeigh will get betts, dont think NLM will get dropped as he'll be needed to play defense as a third tall as we could be stretched in that department

Geez lovett-murray as key defender makes me nervous, but that could be the reality if they decide to go three talls,wer really gna need guys like heppell, hardingham and dempsey zoning off at the right time to make the crucial spoils. if it does rain i would imagine they will only go two talls in their forward half.

Not sure how great my memory is but hasn't McVeigh played on Betts the last few times and pretty much takes him out of the game?? I would definately stick with McVeigh on Betts. I think Hooker will take Waite if he is playing and Fletch will take Henderson to be honest, purely because Waite tends to move around the ground moreso than Hendo.

I do agree with most people that Garlett is the one that can kill us.. Dempsey would make me nervous, but I don;t know who else could do it. Hardingham would give a crack, but would he have the speed to keep up?
