Knowing a ground well has to be one of the most ridiculous reasons to select an AFL player I've ever heard. Clarko may well keep Pink and drop Corr, but that won't be the reason.
Lol this

Pink is lucky he’s even been given games so far and not dropped earlier

It’s chom time

A few teams running with three tall forwards. Wondering if we could do the same long term with Chom/Maley and Sellers.
Richmond beat Syd yesterday with only 1 tall forward when they weren't expected to win. So it can be done.

Having said that, Larkey does need some help.

We actually looked quite damaging for a split second when Larkey was up the ground and the three smaller guys were only in the forward line. Looked a bit dynamic and hard for the defenders to match up…

I’m just wondering, work with me here. campaigners don’t just boot to Larkey with the rest of the forwards sitting up his arse?
We seem pretty damaging when we lower our eyes

Maley’s game was great on the weekend. But he is a poor kick. Both field and goal. He has played a couple of games. That may have been the highlight of his career. We need a bit more evidence before putting him up against someone like Harris Andrews or similar. I love what he brings. He is great to watch at training as he is fully invested so let’s not prick that balloon yet without giving him a real chance because we are bereft of ideas. I’ve been on Sellers for 2 years. Come on down son.
If he's going to draw Harris Andrews then that's fantastic. Just stay clear of Larkey and Sellers.

Call me a traditionalist, but I'd be inclined to run something like this.

Pink - Dawson - Lmac
Sheeze - Chom - Mckercher

Scott - Wardlaw - Stephens
Xerri - LDU - Powell

Duursma - Sellers - Zurhaar
Fisher - Larkey - Curtis

Greenwood - Simpkin - Ford - George - Bergman
Bergman not an option for 4-5 weeks unfortunately (jaw)

Doesn't look too bad. Bergman won't play though.
Too early to bring in Hardeman? They probably wouldn't bring in George and Hardeman to debut together.
Otherwise I think Laz holds his spot.

I know this is never going to happen, as Clarkson is kind of stubborn, but we have try to field a team that can show a little bit of defensive resistance:

B: Nyuon Pink Hardeman (McDonald)
HB: Sheezel Dawson Bergman

C: McKercher LDU Scott

R: Xerri Zurhaar Simpkin

HF: Duursma Sellers/Maley Ford
F: Curtis Larkey Hansen Jr/Harvey

I: Powell Lazz Greenwood Wardlaw

I totally agree with your first sentence but then the very first player's name I read is Nyuon? That guy couldn't win a one on one contest in the preseason let alone against the likes of Daniher and Hipwood.

I would try Comben on Daniher. Dawson on Hipwood and then use Pink as an intercept defender which was what his main strength seemed to be about his game in the SANFL. Corr can get stuffed. Bergman unfortunately is injured.

Time to make a few changes - few lads aren’t coping at the standard at the moment.

In - Comben, Drury, Shiels, Maley
Out - Pink, Tucker, Steevo, CCJ

Tucker and Steevo aren't performing to the standard at the moment and CCJ is obviously done for the year.

Pink has been ok, it's been a baptism of fire and i'd argue he has suffered the most from our inability to put pressure on the ball. Having said that Comben is starting to look really good down there and it will be his backline for the next 5 years if he puts some games together.

If Pink has been ok and is getting dropped, does that mean that Corr has been better than ok?

Pink - "thats where the toilets are, over at that stand has really good dim sims. Parking isnt great get there early."

prolly as strong a squad as we could field atm, does fish have much demonstrated goal sense?? also i dont think sleevo gets dropped yet ( i would do it in a heartbeat)

Nice Millshakes at Norwood Oval as well from all accounts.
dont knock rating grounds by their kiosks contents, fact maffra hotdogs and phillip island pies were massive plusses to traveling to those clubs ( in previous years duty free beer was a great reason to go to east sale RAF base and cerberus naval port for a game)

To be honest I am not too fussed on exactly which changes we make, as long as we make them. At this stage the confidence the team had going into the season has taken a battering, and some fresh faces must be injected, as well as to give the VFL boys confidence that selection policy will reward good performances in the seconds.
