I thought Power was not the worst player tonight and would have a couple of players ahead of him in the queue.

As for Watt made his usual quota of stuff ups but again was far from the worst on ground and will stay in next week.

As for Thomas, I was sticking up for him, but I feel he needs a spell in the magoos with some poor decision making displayed and his effectiveness by foot was generally terrible.

Outs: Thomas

Ins: Just replace this bloke his giving me the s***s

How many times was the ball kicked to him on a good lead?

The delivery tonight was appalling.

Yes it was.

But 3 disposals for the entire night is woeful.

If you're not getting anything up forward, then moveup the wings and work yourself into the game that way.

Okay i've calmed down a little bit.
So yet's have a look.
Out:
Definately: Lindsay Thomas (1 goal in 5 matches is not good enough, go back to the ressies and have a good hard look at yourself).
Maybe: Jones (But I doubt it), Power (Might get pushed out, but should hold his spot), Riggio (Please no, but he might if Wells/Smith come in), Urquhart (Same as Riggio)
In:
Hopefully: Jesse Smith and Daniel Wells
If not: Ben Davies

Don't defend Power, he was and is shithouse.

Players he was better than tonight

Grant, Firrito, Riggio, Hale, Thomas, Jones, Pratt, Gibson, Thompson.

Almost half the team, he may be a stop gap but IMO is doing his job and is no where near our worst.

This is what makes Thommo so "average". If the ball isn't delivered perfectly to him he's ____ing useless. It either has to be on his chest or high and infront so he can leap to it. If it's put to him in a one on one he'll get beaten and if it's below his belly button he turns invisible (I'm hoping stem cell research may cure this before the finals!)

That said, he's paid to kick goals so I have to say he's a SUPER TRUCKING STAR

Hold Up!!

This is why we aint going anywhere fast. We continue to play/recruit players who are either not developing or taking us anywhere fast. These players include:

Power- He can use the ball, but turns it over when under the pump, Doggies looking better without him.

Watt- Played a role when we had nobody there, but its time to move on or give him a different role.

Thomas- Can tackle but is soft, plays for free kicks and turns the pill over.

Grant- Was a great player, but he is finished. Hate to say it! But when he cant run or jump its time.

Jones- Clearly out of form, needs to be rested or play a differnt role, maybe a HBF role for a few weeks.

Harris, Rawlings, Simpson, Harding- Cough up the ball to often, these players work there arse off but for no benefit, there is no point playing these guys if they a. Can't kick b. Have no one to give the ball who can kick.

My changes this week would be:

Out: Thomas, Watt, Power

In: Ross, Warren, Davies

If Wells is fit for this week, i would replace Grant with him.

I would rather lose to Geelong knowing we played some new kids and they had a crack instead of players who have no future.

I'm starting to think otherwise. Maybe a week in the VFL might be the rocket he needs.

I with you on Jones....done nothing all year. Its a long season give him a spell he is adding nor value and killing too many ants on the grass spending most of his time there. Pisses me off severely, maybe b/c lasy year he was excellent...is he injured?

Honestly, on Power and Watt please name the players they were worse than tonight.

We currently sit 8th on the ladder, changing to a ridiculous youth policy at round 11 sitting 8th is not what we need now.

Fat chance in hell...too many youngsters for Laidley... Why dont we just play North Ballarat against the Cats? It wont happen, we aint last on the ladder.

I know its big footy, but hang on a minute!!! Thomas is a skinny aboriginal kid with sublime talent who we need to get games into. (remember the big footy mantra: play the kids!) He still had 17 possesions tonight. He's going to make mistakes, but we need to accept that, or we may as well play Piccione.

Ed Lower had his pants pulled down by Simon Black tonight but will be better for the performance.

Riggio likewise had a hard time tonight against some tuff oppostion.

More worrying are Grant, Jones and Thompson. Jones could probably be swung onto a back flank for awhile as this has worked before. Grant will have to be a pinch hitter from the bench, he's very skilled so can have an impact when he come on, even in the midfield if used well. Thommo is the biggest problem, as he can't really play anywhere else but ff ad if he's not on then he's pants.

power is shit, my bro goes for bulldogs and says hes a good player, but i've watched almost every game this season whether tv or at the game and power is yet to impress me he is hopless, the only reason he got 17 possesions 2day was because he got about 9 of them in the last quearter when brisbane had already won the game, urquart was great today and the kid should go far. lyndsay thomas wsnt that bad, sure he had afew stuff ups but he wasnt the worst there, really our backmen were the worst there, with the ammount of scoring shots they had it was bs, bradshaw and brown were just 2 good for spud and gibbo. jones had a bad game but we need him for next week, we need the strongest side possible, maybe as some1 said before a change of position that might send a rocket up his ass. and also wtf do you people have against watt, he may have had afew stuff ups 2day, but he is i needed player.

They aren't going to win us a premiership. We have played too mnay of these types for the past 5+ years.

Brown, Sansbury , Robbins, Clayton to name a few.

I know that we aint last, but what is the point of finishing top 8 if we have no relistic chance of winning the flag?

____, I thought Power was ok tonight. I don't know Watt played on, which is a good thing, as he wasn't playing loose man. Both of them can stay.

Jones was utter garbage. Out of form is one thing, playing like a greedy, lazy w***er is another. Non-handball to Grant in the first quarter was almost droppable by itself. Shitful.

Grant is close. Still getting by on his footy smarts, but 2008 will be his last year I reckon. Struggling, but I would give him another one.

Thomas needs a run in the two's. He still finds the footy well and I think he will be a very good player in time, but he can have a run in the two's.

Out: Jones, Thomas

In: No idea, Ben Ross

Clayton played in a flag actually.

Believe it or not I actually enjoy seeing my team winning and playing in finals, the Geelong and Port loses in finals was worth it to see us win all those games and in particular the Hawthorn final.

Once again Power and Watt should be nowhere near dropped and were a long long way from our worst.

I thought after tonight LT has to go to the VFL. If Davies or Ross are still knocking on the door one of them must play.

On form Jones would have to join LT in the twos, but we all know that will not happen. Just the one change I suppose.

The only person who could force Watt out at this point would be Jesse Smith, and that's not happening obviously. Hansen is still a long way off as well.

If Jones isn't injured, he might be dropped to prove a point. He was terrible tonight. He was lazy, selfish and completely useless. He has alot of talent, but injuries might the only thing saving him right now.

Are you forgetting how many goals Thommo's kicked this season. His performances in Melbourne have been much better than his interstate games IMO. He will be fine against Geelong. We should tell him to stay in the goal square and don't bother chasing Scarlett. He won't catch him and will lose needless energy. We should have others helping out in that regard. If Thommo stays in the square and plays to his 2008 potential, he will still average close to 3 goals this season.

He did play in a premiership, with a total of 3 possesions.

I like watching young kids developing into stars and going on to win premieships, just like the 90's.

Thomas, Watt and Power keep gettig mentioned.

Power actually has half decent delivery. He hit's leads in the F50 and at the moment he is probably the 2nd best we have bring the ball forward.

Watt will never be a dominating CHB but he continues to do his job. We can'h 22 stars and as long as he does his job, give some run out of defense and provides and option for both mid and tall forwards then he will stay.

As for Thomas, when has he shown subline skill?? Can't kick, mark or will the hard ball. How does that translate to subline skill.

Thomas is just lucky that Shagga and CJ are playing worse. One of these two will have to be dropped to give the older guys a rocket (Harro being one of those that needs one.)

Personlly i'd like to see Shagga and Thomas dropped for Davies or Warren and Josh Smith.

OUT - Thomas. His many faults are becoming more frequent and glaring as the year progresses.

Hale. Really disappointed. Follows up 3 goal W.C game with 2 weeks of rubbish. Forward or ruck he is O.K at best in both areas.

IN - Davies, Ross, Goldy?

Bell
Roberts
Scott
Abraham
Blakey
Grant
Laidley
Clayton
Pike

Theres a list of players that played in flags for us in the 90's that were "stop gaps" from other clubs like Power, Brown, Robbins
