Yep a real poor decision and one almost worthy of a post in the ' sack Scotts ' thread. I know Crocker hasn't been overly happy with selection lately.

Has Crocker been unhappy with selections?

One downfall of Brad that he continues to play players underdone or with niggling injuries just to keep the "structure" or the insecurities of not having your best players out there when there are plenty of capable players in the VFL that can come in and do their role better than a Struggling top player

What he has not learnt yet (blacks a perfect example) is that it can ruin a players career and affect the team as a whole. As many here, including myself has lately said Waite needs a rest, I couldn't give a **** whether he's been cleared to play or not, plenty of players play under distress but he has slowly been getting worse and worse and now it's going to negatively impact our team and has been (he's dropped out of form and it affects the forward line) We could have a fresh and fired up Waite for these hard blocks of games..

I fear this is going to happen to Goldy. I feel like Brad can't trust daw to come in and risk losing the game (in his eyes) so he will continue to push him to play every week. I hope to god, he won't need surgery (cough... Jacobs.. Cough)

I think the whole entire let's get a good start had way too much emphasis on it. Yes we are in a great position! But if the list management was better...I can only imagine

Best small to medium sized defender missing
Best clearance player missing
Best tackler missing
Best defensive mid missing
Best tall forward of 2016 missing
Playing Wagner who would be 5th choice small to medium forward behind Garner, Anderson, Turner and Higgins.

Goldy at best is playing really sore
Dal/Atley who if they both play can't be at 100%.

Good luck, it's going to be tough.

No injuries and 90 tackles as a starter.
Gibbo running with Mitch.
JZ head to head with Lewis.
Coming of age opportunity for Dumont.
Give Wags 2 instructions - be opportunist, big defensive pressure.
Rotating Maj between roles as midfielder, ruck and key forward, with Wood playing 3rd tall when needed.
Ats on Rioli, JMac on Gunston, LMac on Bruest, Scotty T on Poppy.
Feed Wellsy and Boomer as often as possible.
Play the Hawks tight. No space. Full pressure.
More excited about this one than the Cats game.

I predict if we play Dal he will do a turner and pull up sore in the first quarter and we will see a repeat of the Walshy v Doc with lots of finger pointing and remonstrating and it won't be about who ate Walshy pie....
I am going to curl up on the couch in the foetal position and should be asleep by half time, that should lessen the pain of the 10 goal thumping we are about to endure.
If I wake up in the morning and find that we have miraculously won I will jump for joy and streak around the neighbourhood in my North beenie...

If Wood, McDonald, McMillan, Mullett and McKenzie have above average to good games, along with Ray, Dumont and majak playing their role. We can beat them for sure. We need to jump the early otherwise I don't think we can play catch up footy and win with our outs.

The black example is so spot on... His confidence will never recover

F***en Dal Santo, plays at the saints not one injury, now he is always injured.... not his fault of course!

Last week Crock's wanted Daw and lost the vote. I think he won it this week. Not the same in for out though. Please don't read that the wheels are falling off and there's severe infighting, that isn't true. Crocks is a fan of the man from Sudan.

I'm not a huge Scott fan which is basically a personality issue. If I likened myself to a coach it would be R. Barassi circa 1977. Work has decided I'm worthy of a 20K leadership course that will make me more like Scott and less like Barassi.

So yeah what the **** would I know :)

You don't think Maj has better ground speed than the other 2?
In straight lines, sure. But 2nd and 3rd efforts, I think he struggles.

I actually think Goldy will pull out late, Black comes in. We can't go with another massively oversized forwardline after the Essendon debacle.

Edit: Black isnt an emergency. Then I have no idea.

Dont Forget Wood is in there.... more than capable...

It's been evident to me over the last few weeks that we have struggled with our ball movement & this has contributed to our much vaunted tall forward potency misfiring.

Hopefully the vibrancy of the new faces coming in rejuvenates our midfield run & spread and we see some quicker transition from defence to attack.

A big ask given the opponent but one which hopefully has the shinboner spirit shining through.

Who said ats can't defend? He is really good 1 on 1 and can go with cyril easily. Let's not forget tje 1 handed marks he's taken on the last line (hartlett springs to mind). Mullet is the issue not ats.
