If Waites poor performance has been due to his hip injury why the hell was he still out there playing if this is a fact then this is very poor player management from the club players with any injuries need to be rested now.

The chances of us winning tomorrow night are now very slim, why not rest any other players including Goldy and bring in more young blokes, we still have half a season to reset and make a run for the finals and a top four.
if I was theboyfrombalga I would be muttering "The fact you're implying you know more about a player's fitness than the club medical staff and the player himself is quite startling" but then I aint theboyfrombalga ;)

We have nothing to lose this game, but if we win im gona laugh pretty hard at the hawks...

Bullshit we have nothing to lose, that is the sort of cop out that we moved past 2 years ago. We have top spot to lose, a home final to lose, a double chance to lose. Nothing short of 100% effort is acceptable.

Gotta wonder if playing a clearly hampered Waite the last month was the wrong move both short and medium term.

Yes totally agree, Maj needs as much game time as possible could have been getting that while Waite was rested, Maj could have been rotated through the forward line while helping out Goldy with ruck duties its not as if Brown and Drew have been setting the world on fire.

Club needs to manage players right to give us the best chance of making a double chance in the finals.

Alpine that is the dumbest idea I have ever said. ;)

Not with the team that we are fielding tomorrow night....

From a Hawthorn perspective your right in saying that none of us want to see him beat Tucks record, but purposely injuring him to prevent it wouldn't even be considered. Tuck wouldn't want it, we'd loose a player for a bit hurting out flag chances and we would cop a lot of hate.
Recordes are made to be broken and unfortunately for us this one looks like its going to be broken.

So you're not expecting Lewis to make it 8 offences in a row?

Perhaps I need to think my posts before shooting from the hip.
Who cares about small forwards? Surely the big news story here is the return of Faz Raz? I am sensing our twin defensive wingers streaking up and down Etihad like jet fighters....accumulating posessions on the overlap and putting the arrogant Hawks to the sword... Get excited people! In Faz we trust....

You will notice I started my statement with if and added if it was a fact so not implying anything and not impersonating club medical staff so not sure what you are going on about?

Show this to the boys before they come out to play. This still gets my blood boiling twelve months later, and yes I know that red cards in footy would be a terrible idea, but god I wished they were a thing for that one game. It was so bloody frustrating to see Hawthorn effectively rewarded on the back of two extremely dirty acts with soft frees for remonstrating.
There is no excuse to not be up for this one. This is the game that would easily be the most satisfying to win. Smash those smug Hawk pricks and let their arrogant supporters know that their dynasty is over (I can dream alright).

Been a North supporter since the mid-70's. As a kid I had a woollen long sleeve Schimma gurnsey. As an adult I always had a range of North gear but I never an official gurnsey as I was told that "after a certain age men look ridiculous in them".

Anyway.......I recently said **** that, switched to Powershop and picked up my gurnsey as part of their promo. I will proudly wear it for the first time on Friday against the poo and wee flogs.

Cmon North. I'm gonna lose my voice I swear.

I ******* love these sorts of games. Nothing to lose. Have a crack and see how we measure up. These campaigners aren't all that.

Likewise. Some of the greatest moments I've experienced as a North man have been winning games against all odds. I'll be going filled with nervous anticipation for what I hope will ensue. Cannot wait to see how we go with so many outs. I'm certainly not writing us off.

Only one person should leave on a stretcher tomorrow...

Within 20 seconds of the moment he bursts through their banner too I hope.

Wow, would hate to see some of you in a building fire, some window jumpers in this thread. :Stern look

Yep

C'mon worry warts. Most of our wins this year have been expected. A win like this could be is what following a team is all about. We're balls deep in this game tomorrow night. Bring it on!
