my first suspect would be Chris Davies. I would begin taking a look at his responsibilities as head of football and what he has done. From the answers to these questions, we would have a better idea of what is wrong and how it could be fixed.
If he is the head of football, it should be his fault. Hinkley responds to whom?

Football is not working as it should. If there is no one directly responsible for it; then, it is time to assign someone for the task — exclusively.

Mmmm..... Reading through your linked thread Gremio is not fun and disturbingly familiar 😠

Hes the only one that gives me any hope of us improving.

“I don’t think there’s any doubt that we need to get better from a game plan perspective, there’s no doubt our coaches have got to coach better, our players have got to be in a better spot to cope with the heat of big games when they come because we had a fantastic minor round but when the heat has been on for whatever reason, we just haven’t been able to cope with that.”

About ****ing time.

About ******* time.

“By Lukas Founten”.

Between the writer and CD’s comments it looks like the club heeded the propaganda backlash, decided to pull its head out of its arse and stop insulting us for the first time since that disgrace.

Didn’t think it was possible.

So who on here is Lukas. Probably would have created an account in 2018.

What a damning statement 9 years as head coach and this is leveled at him.
Hopefully hinkley and kock are squirming in their seats!

Thank god he mentioned the C word.

If only CD's opinion actually had sway with Koch - boy, oh boy would our outlook be a heck of a lot different.

When I make a statement like that, I'm not guessing.
OK ill take your word for it. If this is the case then I'd imagine it is a fairly untenable situation. How can you have a general manager of footy who is not on the same page as the president and coach? And furthermore, how can that be a workable situation if it is widely known that is the case...

CD was 3 years in the job when Koch rushed to re-sign Hinkley and effectively gave him 5 years extra on top of the one year he already had (2018), with setting the bar so low with the 2 + 1 if you make finals deal.

Since then CD's stocks have gone up, Koch's have gone down. CD will have a lot bigger say how long Hinkley survives for, than he did in 2017.

I sure hope so REH.

At the end of the day, you can disagree with someone, but for the greater good, you can try to make the best of the situation. To do the contrary would be an act of insubordination.

Yeah, but is it anything more than lip service? History would suggest not.

Maybe they'll be so offended they'll hold their breath, stomp their feet, throw their toys out of the crib and quit in protest.

Davies and the players would genuinely believe in atonement, but they’re hamstrung by their unwavering belief in the gravitational millstone tearing Port from glory.
