No matter what you will only see the negative in it so there is little point. He had an impact both ends of the ground this year thats a big tick had a very good finals series as a forward showed his versatility through the nationals playing forward, back, ruck and even in the midfield in the first game against Vic Country. Not many tall blokes can do all that, you like you have already said if he is such a good forward why did he play back? That is because TAC is primarily about player development, there is a common school of thought that learning to play in the backline helps you as a forward it worked well for Jarryd Roughead, if you ever listen to Cam Mooney on the radio he swears by it. Of course Pies fans are excited about Moore he is going to be an elite talent at AFL level will he be that player next year probably not but that is expected with most talls

Odd that he was sent back onto McCartin Goddard Foster McKenzie.

Pretty awkward that Buckley has done more damage to Collingwood in the last 3 years than what Hird has done to Essendon.

No it was not odd, it just means that the coach thought he would do a better job on them the Hugh Beasley. It moore shows his strength as a player that he can play very well up forward but was able to be moved back to nullify some of the best tall forwards in the TAC cup

17 goals in 17 games shows that he is about average at best.

You are so dumb this is the last time I will bother responding to one of your pathetic posts after this it is the ignore list for you. In your above post you just stated that he played a few games in the backline about half the year so it is not 17 goals in 17 games as you don't expect someone who is playing CHB or FB to kick goals.

He was moved down back in the games he went down there. Usually it was due to being beaten up forward. Pretty well known fact really.

Lol sorry will put you on the ignore list after this go have a look at the sides he was normally named down back. Why must you keep posting rubbish?

Read all the match day threads when he was moved. At any rate if he was a gun forward you'd back him to kick more goals.

What are Pies supporters expecting of Moore next season. 17 goals in 17 TAC games is hardly dominating stats.
Considering the Pies fans aren't biting I will. What are you expecting of him?

I'd compare him to someone like Sam Day who was pick 3 despite being mainly a raw talent. Probably as Collingwood will be a more mature and better side than Gold Coast's first year barring injury I do expect him to return more than Day in his first year but not a whole lot.

His versatility was a strength at TAC level but I'd expect Collingwood to stay away from moving him back or in to the ruck until he gets a mature body and a good grip on forward play.

I'd have him earning his shot early in the year. Joe Daniher as a similar frame but more talented was held back really well by Essendon. The best thing long term might be to do the same for Moore and temper expectations. He'll probably kick the occasional stunning goal either through his athleticism on the deck or from a big mark but a lot of time mature defenders will push him off the ball and blow him up chasing the other way.

Barring injury: 8-12 games. 2 break out games with 2-3 goals. 4 or so other games where he does a couple of solid things and flashes some top things. 4 or so games where he doesn't get much of it at all and ends up subbed out or in line to be dropped. In fact he probably will get dropped if he starts in the team early in the season he'll probably hit the wall mid way through the year.

Well its hardly what you'd call elite is it?

Geez...I remember seeing a player with the following stats
2001 - 6 games, 2 goals
2002 - 22 games, 21 goals
2003 - 22 games, 30 goals

hardly elite?! - Player Nick Riewoldt.

Go away troll!
