Reef update - playing mainly as a deep back pocket he’s had 11 touches to half time. Had some nice linking plays. Defensive side of his game needs work, but I’m guessing that’s why he’s down there.

5k, 6h, 2m, 2t and 3 rebound 50’s to half time is pretty solid work.

Thanks for Update. Busy to watch Game Live but could watch Replay later.

Good to see him play different Positions to make him more Verstile

Good numbers for a bottom ager, especially given he’s a December baby so will only just be draft eligible next year. He’s less than a month older than Nick Daicos.

Should move into a full time midfield role next year, can find the pill. Will be interesting to see if grows anymore.

He be taking Rowell and Anderson's spot next year

Going by this, he was born in August.
He is 18 already? Why isn't he draftable this year?

The Oakleigh midfield is loaded. Reef basically doesn't get to play through the midfield and is mostly relegated to playing back.

Expect next year Phillips (a projected top 10 pick and already a major part to Oakleigh's midfield) and Reef to be the primary ball winning mids with the drafting of projected top two choices Rowell and Anderson particularly to open up those opportunities.

Any relation to Tom?

Don't believe so.

And a very different footballer. Real bull of a ball winner and has a great deal of explosiveness to him.

For any who watch Oakleigh v Sandy. For mine he's B.O.G #9.

In case anyone hasn't seen them, these are the zones for the NGA.

Gee Hawthorn have Gippsland. Some dead set superstars come out of there!!! Ablett, Templeton, Pendlebury, Quinlan etc etc

Hawthorn did very nicely out of having a great country zone under the old system many years ago, but fortunately these days, with only indigenous and multicultural players able to be taken for "free" from these zones, they aren't likely to get too many stars from there!

Hawthorn have a good one coming in next years draft in Connor Downie (Eastern) as an NGA recruit.

He's a possible first rounder. Beautiful kick (penetrating long left foot), provides run. Good agility and evasion.

Off a handball receive on the weekend he launched from 55m a bomb that easily sailed through for a goal.

I'd argue he's Eastern's best player already in a side which will be taking on Oakleigh in the granny next week.

Yeah we used to do pretty good for the Hawks. The Dear brothers came from Gippy as well. My old primary school principle was a Hawks scout at one point. We used to get a few Hawks players visit our school.

None of them would have been able to get taken through the current NGA system though. Relax.

Reef named on the win and Dib on the bench (not sure if they cut the bench down to 4?) for the Grand final today.
So Dib is playing u18’s despite not being eligible until 2021? That’s seriously good news for us if he’s rated that highly...

I have set that to Record on Foxtel as I have to leave for the Game long before it Finishes
