This all started about 15 years ago when Henry what's his name from south America woke up one day and was upset by a name he had been called years earlier so he said all the Collingwood football club and everyone involved with it are racist and ignore all the countless good Eddie McGuire had done he must pay for his feelings being hurt. So trying to do the right thing Eddie hired an academic who has been permanently offended to do a review: if ms permanently offended found everything was fine she would be out of a job, if she found the Pies were closeted racists she and people like the one now making the accusations would have a high paid cruisey jobs: guess how it worked out

You are still talking from a perspective when you are not the minority and you will never have that experience as a minority so whatever excuse you have are just that.

Australia has a culture of casual racism, for instance, when Truijiro left the job i remember turnbull even said adios amigos. If this was an american president or british pm, that would be sacking offense with just that phrase.

You think afl would be that dumb to leave you that loophole, you will play out the year and points to be deducted postumousely, draft position is still based on where you finished but you might end year with X number of points less than you actually got.

Essendon was never deducted points but had a whole list of players suspended hence wooden spoon.

I’m nor sure if you’ve read the thread, but the opposite is clearly happening.

The right thing to do here is to reserve judgement. I think as a community we used to better at doing this.

Same thing going on with Hawthorn FC. In the Pies scenario I have concerns with the motives of Mark Cleaver. Listening to him speak when he joined the club a year ago to his allegations today one might suggest he has done a massive turn around and that could be fueled by his own motives IMO.

He would have been on a 6 month probation, so unable to complain about being sacked as he wasn't a permanent employee.
