I agree - there's information overload from Bucks. More than once I thought "what's he on about?" after some impenetrable analysis.
Sure he knows a lot, but it makes his commentary as dry as the Sahara.
BT is at the opposite end of the spectrum, blathering on to add as much "colour" as possible.
Bring back Dennis Cometti.

Fair possibility Bucks is more invested in any Pies performance than any other side, and, by coincidence the best situated to comment.

So no doubt his new employer is keen to winkle all the details from him on air.
That said he really revels in the sides success which is a great attribute for an extremely recent ex-coach/commentator.

I think Bucks knows more about cooking-footy metaphors than you give him credit.

Corn starch or plain flower are the usual soup thickeners although I just usually add more cabbage. They are carbs and they certainly do add to the nutritional value of a soup.
So Bucks is saying that Tom's clearance work has turned a watery soup into a hearty more energy packed broth.
I think we can all agree that the soup is more filling with Tom in it. Bucks knows his shit!
