I’m not convinced either would fetch a lot to be honest. Ginnivan ends up in Stevo territory by the end of the year at this rate.me too. I’m not pushing it, but if the club took that path I’d cop it. Ditto Ginnivan.

AJ has suitors and would bring something in. Ginnivan though I agree with by years end his value will be intrinsic only which is the main reason I can’t see it happening.I’m not convinced either would fetch a lot to be honest. Ginnivan ends up in Stevo territory by the end of the year at this rate.
I watch the VFL regularly. He appears twiggy in comparison to other ruckmen and he's more mobile than other units. Eg. most of the AFL rucks. When's the last time you saw Begg? He's anything but skinny, twiggy or nimble..
AJ has some currency and might attract a late second. Ginnivan is harder to tell. He has the potential to be valued at a first round pick but recent form hasn't been so promising unfortunately. He hasn't quite gambled on his own performance or urinated in Noble's cup so is still some way off Stevo territory. Stevo had many strikes that led to his trade to North Melbourne. He was also on $600k per year and wanted to play midfield when he lacked the tank.I’m not convinced either would fetch a lot to be honest. Strange how people can see things so differently. I thought he'd put on quite a bit of weight this year, particularly around the torso & his legs are quite thick .. & he looks puffed out a lot to me.I watch the VFL regularly. What’s an acceptable pick or player for AJ?me too. I’m not pushing it, but if the club took that path I’d cop it. Ditto Ginnivan.
McKay and our firstpick. What’s an acceptable pick or player for AJ?
It won't be the consensus, but a second rounder. Fully fit, AJ is not a guaranteed started and it will be interesting to see if he's replaced for Adelaide. What’s an acceptable pick or player for AJ?
He's a massive part of our future in my eyes. What’s an acceptable pick or player for AJ?
Same. Hope he plays this week, kicks a couple along with MOTY He puts in a poor game & all of a sudden he's trade bait. He's a massive part of our future in my eyes.
Agree. Ive noticed he has put on strength in his upper body. Probably the reason he has performed more strongly in the ruck and around the ground, able to not get pushed under the ball as much as last year. Its been an improvement.Strange how people can see things so differently. I suspect if it happens then it’s an Aish situation where someone comes at him. We can obviously keep him, but it might be in everyone’s interest to do it. In that case I’d say he has similar value to Henry so a pick between 15 and 25.What’s an acceptable pick or player for AJ?
I commented in the match day thread that it feels like he’s in a T Brown death spiral, but they keep picking him as a forward so they must see something. Gut feel is the club think what he did v Geelong is in there on a more regular basis and they can bring it out of him. With McStay, Mihocek, Cox, Cameron, Kreuger and AJ in the mix I don’t see how that happens over the next 18 months which is a long time to wait.Ah McInnes. I spent the whole off-season not expecting much from him, thinking he probably won't make it. Changed my mind after Round 1 against the Cats when he got subbed on.
But now I'm not sure at all. Just hasn't showed it yet. But then again struggling to break into the top team isn't going to be easy.

I think he'd be seen as more of an Elliott replacement than a KPP.I commented in the match day thread that it feels like he’s in a T Brown death spiral, but they keep picking him as a forward so they must see something. I don’t see it at ground level. Elliott’s hunt is ridiculously underrated and without that ground level presence Elliott would sit alongside the other group as an undersized KPF, IMO. Much like JDG was as a permanent forward.I think he'd be seen as more of an Elliott replacement than a KPP.

More a general comment re Elliott’s hunt being underrated than towards yourself. I agree it doesn’t look great, but it could be role and confidence. If they’re asking him to be focussed on contesting aerially it’s hard for a kid that’s in and out in and out to strike that balance while exerting an influence at ground level.I don't underrate Elliott. Love him. And agree that Reef hasn't shown as much in terms of hunting the ground ball as a forward- not sure what that says about his midfield chances.
The question is - do we really have a like for like replacement for Elliot. He has a unique skill set combining marking ability, ground game and speed.I don’t see it at ground level. I keep going back to him, but JDG got through on his talent and it feels to me like McInnes is being asked to play a similar way and he just doesn’t have what JDG has which allowed him to impact as a forward despite his deficiencies in the role. I’ve probably butchered that explanation though so I don’t feel like my point on that front is going to land the way I’d hope it would.
