I'm not that big on Aish - I think he's more a role player than a future star. If someone offered up something tempting, like a player or a key to the first round (or a first rounder itself), I'd consider.

What you not like about Aish?

Kidding, right? Pretty sure T.Mitchell won a stack of clearances, is recorded as making about a dozen tackles and kicked two goals in the GF. The only better performed Swans mid in the GF was Kennedy.
I think your missing my point. He stuffs the stat sheet, but does zero damage. I guess theres a reason he averaged 28 disposals a game but finished 8th in their BnF, being beaten by players like Jake Lloyd and Heath Grundy

Just like the expression on his face, I feel zero excitement about this trade.

Welcome Mayney. Surely that is photo shopped? Looks rapt to be on board!

What's with the 4:30 pm media releases? Wells about this time yesterday, Mayne today. It's almost like it is planned to roll on to our trade daily video!

12 tackles and two goals in a GF is massively damaging. He and Kennedy never stopped, even when Hannerbury, Parker, Jack and McVeigh all went missing. You must have been watching a different match.

Given Barrett's track record, it wouldn't surprise me to shortly see a tweet from him that says "Chris Mayne will categorically not be at Collingwood next year".

Would not put it past him:straining:

Tom Mitchell had an incredible Grand Final. Had the Swans won it would have been between him and Kennedy for the Norm Smith - Kennedy edges him for the game overall, but since the umpires tend to place a higher emphasis on the final quarter I think Mitchell would have given him a run for his money.

Tom Mitchell is an absolute jet and is only 23... huge get for the Hawks. Very jealous.
Heath Grundy and Dane Rampe were both much more influential on the game, and in no world would Mitchell even come close to beating Kennedy for Norm Smith. The dogs couldn't stop Kennedy, but did a good job on Parker and Hanners for the game, and tightened up no Jack after he was getting a little off the chain in the first, so by default Mitchell probably was the 2nd best Swan in the middle.

Teams choose to allow him to do what he likes because he does so much less with it than Hanners and Parker
