Richmond is the only team to have beaten Essendon since Mark Neeld left - I think us Pies fans can be rightly nervous about this one.

That was at the G though, where we have a really bad record, having only won 1 of 5 there this year. And we got absolutely slaughtered by 12 goals.

A wet MCG - I’m really not sure what to expect from Essendon but it’s hard to be positive.

Pies have had a terrible run with injuries but it's at the point where blokes like Wells, Elliot and Reid are bonusses more than genuine best 22 players .
Who told you we’ve had injuries? :p

Wells is not returning in 2018, if ever. Elliott should hopefully be back in a couple of weeks and Reid is about 4-5 weeks away.

Imminent returns for Fasolo, Aish, Moore and Varcoe too.

Injuries are no excuse for our season as a few of our long termers will be returning just in time for the latter stages of the season.

To be fair, most of those losses came at the start of the year. We lost anywhere and everywhere. Would you say we played better at Optus Stadium against West Coast compared to Fremantle? Definitely

Richmond is an aberration because we simply struggle against them as a side. They have the perfect list make up and gameplan to counteract us. It's why we lost the last 7 games against them. I wouldn't say we struggle against Collingwood or Hawthorn. We just had a bad stretch. We do struggle against Carlton though.

Beating Collingwood at the G while they're in second spot from 12th would be quite an achievement even with their outs. I'd take a hell of a lot more from that than beating a poorly coached North side who tried to play a game they just weren't qualified to.

Did you see the GC vs Pies game? Team looked spent in the humid conditions stopped running 10mins into the 3rd as they were dead on their feet.
Would not surprise me at all if we come out flat as a tack on Sunday. Hoping they don't but it's happened before to sides.

Oh shit, bad weather.
Enjoy the big win pies.

Additionally, Zaharakis was rubbed out for the day in the first quarter while Fantasia was hurt in the first and played most of the game injured against Richmond. On ANZAC Day Green and Begley only played a quarter too. Probably wouldn’t have won either match but those injuries definitely made those margins inflate.

As for the other two MCG losses - we simply played awful against Carlton and Hawthorn. .

It's actually a credit to Collingwood that despite their injury list that they are still a very big chance of winning this game, in fact they are favourites.

If they had a full list? I'd hate to think! Game over.

We have dealt well with Margetts millimetre. We might be ok

If they continue kicking them out of their arse from all angles, the Bombers will win.
I'm sure you'll be back in 2019. With your young talent
